Summary: The draft is over, so it's time to come back home. Only... home doesn't look quite the same as when they left it. WHOOPS.

[It will be immediately obvious upon return that SOMETHING has happened in Luceti while the draftees were gone, judging by the debris everywhere, the damaged buildings, and the slight remainders of the flooding. The fact that there are returning draftees who need medical attention as well only serves to compound the chaos, but if nothing else, there should at least be some joyful reunions at this time. Right?]

[Kotetsu's out and about helping with the clean-up, because he actually has a power that's useful for this kinda' crap. When he spots Pao-Lin he's covered in dry mud, blinking at the familiar figure before tossing down a giant tree he was pulling off the trail. No biggie. He's still glowing blue when he rushes over, waving.]

Oiii, Pao-Lin! Hey!

[He's sort of used to not calling you Dragon Kid. Is that weird? That'd be weird, if he realized he was even doing it.]

Are you alright?? You're back!

[She glances over her shoulder at him.]

I'm fine, but what happened here?! [Well, part of the explanation is fairly obvious, but...]

W-well... [A-aha.] There were storms and robots and shift dogs and... stuff like that. But we kinda' got it mostly under control.

[Pao-Lin narrows her eyes. The robots she expected, if the Malnosso had decided to come down here and look for Bil themselves, but the Shift Hunters...hm.]

Did they end up getting Bil?

Nah. We held 'em off... [He itches his forehead awkwardly, because. Uh.] But he passed away after it. I'm not sure if he was sick, or if it really was old age, but he said it was good that they didn't get him, so...

Well, that's good. I guess. [What an odd thing to say.] Did anyone find out anything from him, like why the Malnosso were trying to get him in the first place?

I'm not really sure... But he did say he'd go to the right people, and he'd try to do some favors for people for helping him out. Don't know how or when he'll do all that, though...

Well, I heard he used to give people stuff like pets if they asked for them before, so it makes sense if he did do something like that. But we definitely shouldn't expect it. [She takes in the devastation around her again with a frown.] Geez, it's really bad here, isn't it? This would've never happened in Sternbild. [Hopefully not, anyway.]

[He toes a piece of debris, frowning.]

It's hard to keep up with, huh? But we at least gotta' try... We actually managed to do something this time--even if we didn't get the exact answers we wanted. S'better than sitting back and being helpless.

[Pao-Lin nods at that. She doesn't like the drafts, but -- they're a change from the usual and they at least make her feel like she's doing something useful.]

Ah—yeah!! Actually I've been helping out as much as I can with the clean-up thing. It's been a lot of work, but we're doing pretty good so far.

It looks like it! [She glances over at the tree Kotetsu tossed aside earlier.] I don't think I can haul around trees though...
