Event Log - Level One

Who: Everybody
What: Lucetians reverted back to level one!
When: Well. Now. Right away. It ends on the 25th, so chop chop.
Where: In Luceti. You think you guys are getting out of here after that stunt you just pulled?
Summary: Well. So sometimes the Malnosso actually do legitimate experiments that aren't heaped in heavy plot. This is one of those times. Look, just go read the mod post, would you?

[What the actual fuck oh y god the craziness in this place never ends, does it? First there are people losing their memories left and right like some kind of mass amnesia epidemic, then people are mussing up her hir and clothes left and right, now there are kids stuck in trees. At lest it's a cute little girl, otherwise Perona wouldn't really give damn if they fell and broke their head wide open or snapped their neck or something. It'd be their own fault in the first place, climbing all the way up there.

But, since it is a cutie, she doesn't want any of that to happen. So up she calls to the young kid, frowning a little. How in the world did he get up there? It was almost like rescuing a cat or something.]

Ooooi! What are you doing up there, you idiot?! You'll fall and break every bone in your body! Come down if you can! [Because if she can get down, then Perona doesn't need to go up and mess up her new clothes.]

[Oh, someone spotted him! And here he thought he'd have to live the rest of his life stuck in a tree. Though unlike times before, he's not stuck in the tree because of the height.]

I don't think I can. I was fine coming up, but when I tried coming down, I think I got snagged on something.

[Or a few somethings. He robes are tangled on one side and one of his wings is lodged between two large branches.]

Oh, for the love of--! With a sigh and a shake of her head, Perona sets down her parasol, tops her hat on the handle, and her teddy rest on the grass against both items. Best not to lose any of them during this little rescue mission here, especially not Bearsy.

With a kick off the ground, up Perona floats, like a ghost, toward the branch where the young girl was. When she's close enough, she extends a hand.]

Don't cling to me, otherwise I will drop you. And if you wiggle or squirm or pull me down, I'll do more to you than drop you. Now hang on, I'll try to bring you down slowly.

[Ion doesn't respond yet, too busy staring in wonder at what she just did. Did people fly? Was that a thing they were capable of doing? Sure they all had wings here, but he didn't think it wise to test whether or not they worked.]

How did you do that?

[...also, Perona might want to be careful in just grabbing him, with his wing snagged like that. Wouldn't want him to break a bone there, after all.]

[Luckily, Perona spies the snag before she does grabs a hold of the kid, and she quickly takes action to try and remove it as carefully as she can. That Guide thing she read her first time here said the wings were ultra sensitive...and too much stimulation could even cause death if not careful. With a practiced hand (two years worth) Perona maneuvers the wing and feather around the branch to try and get it free.]

Eh? Do what? [She blinks, then looks down at herself. Oh, right.] Oh, you mean fly! Horohoro, it's just something I can do with my special abilities, among other things. But like this, my flight is limited.

[She can only go so high when she's solid, and floating only last an hour or two at best before she needs to take a rest. Projecting her spirit allows for a much more free form of flight.]

[He might give a bit of a squeak when she touches his wing, since having it snagged like that already hurt a bit. He flaps them a bit once they're both free.]

That's amazing! I've never seen anything like it.

[Perona only pulls back her hands when Ion squeaks, taking even more care to not move or touch the feathery appendages more than she really needs to. Those things really were connected to a person's body, weren't they? She'll have to be super careful of her own...especially if the weather was changing to a colder climate soon. There is a definite chill in the air, even now.

Ah--wait, wh-what?! Oh...oh no, this cutie is adorable~! Maybe Peron could take her home for a bit of tea and cookies...and she could dress the darling child in a really pretty dress or something, it'd be so much fun! ♥]

Eheh, it's served me well, that's for certain. You're free now, so hold onto me and I'll lower you down.

All right!

[And if she's still holding out her hand, he'll grab onto that, pretty much putting his complete trust into Perona that she won't just let him fall -- she was able to fly up here, after all! He's never even heard of a fonic arte like that before, so she must have a really incredible power.]

[Oh goodness no, Perona loves and appreciates all cute things - and this kid is a definite cutie! She almost feels a little flustered and giddy at just how much she wants to snuggle the adorable little thing. But that will come later, right now, she takes the supposed young lady's hand and eases "her" down carefully. It's a slow descent, but Perona's grip remains steady and strong, even though near the end her arm begins to ache. Thankfully, when her arm does give out, Ion was only a few inches from the ground anyway.]

There! You're safe now, but what were you doing in such a high spot to begin with? You should have known better than to climb up if you couldn't get down again! You're like a silly little kitten... [Cute...]

[He dusts off his robes a bit once he's on the ground, setting his hair and headdress right again. He can't help but smile just a bit sheepishly at the question.]

I'm sorry. I didn't realize it would be quite as difficult to get down until after I was already up there... but I heard a noise and wanted to see what was making it-- [Some birds can be heard chirping up in the tree, likely babies waiting for their mother. He looks up with a smile.] --oh! That was it, right there!

[Noise? Perona looks backup at the branches she just lowered the youngster from, expecting to see or hear some kind of strange, weird animal or something, but all she hears are the birds peeping and chirping up above them. That--...no, that can't be what this little cutie was willing to break her neck over! Sure birds were cute and sweet, but not worth hurting oneself over!]

You...you're talking about the birds?

Oh, is that what they're called?

[Yes it is, indeed, exactly what he was willing to break his neck over. Not that he was at all aware of the danger he was in, of course.]

[He closes his eyes to listen to it again with a smile.]

It's just such a nice sound... it's almost like the wind is singing.

Y-Yes...it is. You've really never heard a bird before? [Really? She's never before seen or heard a bird? That's so weird, and even a bit sad, actually. What kind of life did this little cutie live before, to seem so ignorant to the world?] You're strange little girl...

But that is a very romantic way to refer to them. I like it! It makes them sound less annoying when you're trying to sleep in late some days.

...did you just call me a little girl?

[Ion didn't know a lot of things, yes, but he was pretty sure that he was a boy.]

Yes...was I incorrect? [The kid looks like a girl, after all! And she--er, he... was wearing a rather feminine (and really cute ♥) outfit, too! It was an easy mistake to make and--ah. Now she sees. Goodness, but they do come in all shapes, sizes, and ages now.]

You must be an okama. [SAGELY NOD.] I'm sorry for my mistake.

An okama...? [The word doesn't sound like something he's heard on Auldrant, so he wonders if it'd be safe to ask. Was it something that should be obvious to him? Maybe it'd be best to just let it drop anyway.]

Ah, please don't worry about it. I'm sure it's an easy enough mistake to make...

[It's a testament to his cluelessness that he has no idea how true of a statement that is.]

[Oh, did she...make another mistake? Perona blinks at the young gi--er, young man's confusion at the word then just shakes her head slowly. Don't worry about it, if it's something someone doesn't know, then...it's probably better one doesn't know. There are those males who can pull off looking feminine very well - then there are the, um...others.]

Eeh, if you're not upset, then I won't worry. It's just...you do have a very young, delicate looking face. Like a girl... And your attire isn't one I'd equate to a young man. It's lovely - an elegant and very noble feel - but not quite...mmh, masculine.

Really? [He kind of lifts his arms up and turns to get a better look at his own outfit. He can't really tell whether it's masculine or... whatever the opposite of masculine is.]

[What does masculine mean anyway?]

I've never really thought about it like that. These clothes were chosen for me, after all.

[Oh no, he's gonna just kill her slowly with how cute he is. Perona chews her lower lip, fighting off the urge to just scoop him up and begin dressing him up in a manner of all sort of clothes she likes. Ah, he'd look wonderful in a deep crimson - something to accent his eyes and his hair... Oh, but it'd have to look regal but still soft, to match his delicate appearance, and the fabric should breathe nicely and not be too stiff or heavy, and--]

Someone else chooses your clothes? Eh, you must be someone important... [She's only heard of that in regards to aristocrats and royalty. Just who is this boy? A prince, maybe? *__*]

I don't know if I'd say important... [His original probably was, and his position certainly is -- but he, himself? Not really.]

But I'm sorry but not introducing myself sooner. I'm Ion, Fon Master of the Order of Lorelei. Though it doesn't seem like there are a lot of people here who would recognize it...

[Given this woman's power, it doesn't seem like she's from Auldrant either -- but it seemed safe to mention, just in case.]

Ion...kun. [Yes, yes, that's good enough. He's cute, and he should have a cute title to go with his name. Perona even nods a little to herself, to solidify the name and title to herself, before nodding her head.]

My name is Perona, and I don't think that's anything I know...and I'd like to think I'm fairly well-informed about most things. It must be something back from your own world, Ion-kun.
