Birthday Parties!

What: Birthday parties!
When: July 4th (a smidge backdated)
Where: The riverside, south of the village
Summary: After several birthdays had passed, a birthday PARTY is arranged for those who missed theirs. At the river!

[With the help of Toph and Roku (and possibly others), the party had been set up south of the village. There were cakes, party tables, and seats out for everyone. It wasn't really a traditional Water Tribe party by any means, because it was meant for more than one person, after all. But it was by the river and swimming opportunities there. Sokka even set up a net and poles for volleyball. Nami and Roku knew to be there, but of course, Sokka has to get here there still...]

[Dude, you are so lucky that the river is deep enough that you don't die. She watches, amused, until the splash from his canonball head straight towards her. She reacts quickly enough to pause the water in mid-air and gives him a grin full of mischief when he resurfaces.]

No problem, Sanji.

[Since a waterbendingball would end up soaking the whole picnic site, she just - drops her hands. All that water which was suspended above his head drops back down like someone tipped a bucket. She laughs and starts to wade in.]

A-ack... well, seeing as he was already wet, this isn't too bad of a setback. He laughs as well as wipes some of the water out of his eyes]

Y'know, this is the first time I've been swimming since I got here.

It's not the ocean, but the lakes and the rivers aren't too bad! [And she executes a shallow dive, swimming under water to surface close to him.]

I'll have to do it more often, if I get the time. Gonna take over the 7th Heaven so I'll be busier now.

Not all the time. I might only pick out certain hours during lunch and dinner.

But I'll be stuck in the kitchen at least half the day again. [he does not mind this]

[She blinks, startled.] Haruki's club? No, although it sounds like he's got some fun ideas. [Grin.] But I don't think I'd be very good at following his orders.

He's not a bad guy, I don't think. He just says stupid things sometimes and can be a jerk, but he's not - cruel. And he comes from a world which... is a lot bigger than any kind I've ever heard of, but where you don't need to know the stuff that's really important.

It's still nice to think that there could be a place like that, though.
