What: Killing Third Party members and taking names

Summary: Mass-interaction for those out on the battlefield. Feel free to make team threads along with individual ones or however you wish. Action tags are fine here along with prose. For those plotting mischief, this is the place to do it.
Rating: R for the likely violence since killing will most definitely happen, but this is more for interactions during the battles.

[And early on the 26th everyone gets sent out. Thanks to Caesar's organization, most everyone has been placed in groups, even if some people plan on leaving their groups at some point. Check out this post for the details. If you haven't posted to this post and want your character on a team, please do so.]

Special note: Ignore the comments that said there would be 400, that has been retconned and we were told 1200 Third Party members from the start. Enjoy killing them off and taking names.

Special note 2: I asked Akai if any of the Third Party will be coming and dealing with their incapacitated allies, and they will. So assume that unless something is done to prevent this, those injured Third Party members may come back later healed and ready to attack again (though possibly not as effectively).

Anything for you guys! We got a week, and that sounds like way more than enough time at the rate we're going.

[Sonic whistled, impressed with the accuracy of that whip. He didn't linger too long though, and when a few enemies approached, he leaped up, curled himself into a ball and launched himself at them, knocking them away before they could get any closer.

He landed down beside her once more, his now red eyes looking up at her, a smile on his face.]

Hehe, I didn't know you had other spells besides the elemental ones to stop 'em! Bet they didn't expect those either.

[Rydia couldn't help but grin as Sonic knocked them over in ball-form. That's remarkably efficient, and entertaining at the same time. Still, she can't take much time to admire it, needing to keep focus so that no other enemies can ambush them.]

They help, sometimes! They can be hit-or-miss, which is why I don't use them more often. Still, they can come in handy--to your right!

[She whirls in that direction, focusing for another round of spellcasting. Likely Sonic would reach them first, but she will still do her part by adding a Firaga spell to aid him.]

I got it!

[He knew working in a team was always the best way to win a battle or get anything done! Thanks to Rydia's warning, he again rolled into a ball and collided into one of the flying enemies, then bounced off of that one to hit the others in succession. Seconds later he backed off and let her Firaga spell take care of the rest.]

Whew, thanks! Heh, I gotta be honest, I'm not out to kill 'em, even if that's what we're supposed to be doing...

[Other enemies were approaching and approaching fast. He pointed them out as he hovered a bit above the ground.]

Over there! Heh, and this time with swords in both hands!

[Rydia frowns.]

I'll kill them, if I must. Cover me, and I'll do my best.

[She backs away, trying to gain a little distance, then concentrates. It will take a little while for this spell to be cast, but the wait will be worth it. Upon completion, her Meteor spell goes off. Despite the name, it's not just one; many meteors are summoned, bombarding their opponents. It's a brutal, devastating spell that isn't likely to leave anyone standing.]

Right, I'm on it!

[If she wanted to discuss it with him later, he didn't mind. But he knew he couldn't take a life, and he didn't judge and couldn't blame anyone if they had to or wanted to Had the circumstances been much more dire, if one of his friends had been in danger, then his ideal would be out the window.

For now, Sonic fended off anyone who got close to the Summoner, and the term close was being generous. To prevent physical exhaustion, he also used his now at full strength Sonic Wind attack, unleashing a violent gust of wind to blast away oncoming enemies. Before her Meteor spell took effect, he made sure more enemies had ended up in the line of fire.]

Man, those guys are not comin' back, that's for sure. How're you holding up, still okay?

[Rydia's frown hadn't been directed at Sonic himself, more at the thought of the Third Party and their responsibility for Kain's death. But there was no time to explain, at least not now. She nods quickly, a little winded thanks to the long day taking its toll, but not about to admit it yet.]

I'm fine. Thanks for the help, Sonic. I'm sure I'll run out of magic at some point, but I'll be able to keep going for a while.

[She glances around warily, ready to pick off more of the enemy before they get close enough to strike.]

[After the Meteor blast, they got a short break since their adversaries had become more wary about approaching. It wouldn't be for very long, but any chance for reprieve was not going to get wasted.]

Hey, don't mention it! I'm the same, this isn't gonna last forever, and I can't let it run out completely or else I won't be in good shape.

[He touched down to the ground instead of hovering to conserve some power.]

I'll give you a heads up when I'm powering down. How can I get you more magic if you need it?

[Rydia smiles briefly but shakes her head.]

You can't, but don't worry. Rest helps restore it, but in a pinch I have a spell that will transfer some of the enemy's magical energy to me. It won't be a lot, but it will help.

[The lull quickly ended when a group of their opponents regrouped and charged toward them.]

Here we go again! All right, I got your back for whenever you need to recover your magic too. Just leave it to me!

[Rydia nods, trusting Sonic to do his part while she does hers. It's time for a Blizzaga spell, and she demonstrates its effectiveness a moment later, when large ice spikes come crashing down on their enemies. A couple manage to dodge the assault, but most aren't so lucky.]
