[Giles is coated in less, if only because he's been favoring ranged combat a little more. Even so, he replies to the sight without missing a beat.]

I think that still qualifies as a "down", Buffy.

...thanks to Catherine's gambit from last time, I'm managing to keep myself in reasonable condition. Granted, using Nala's power does tend to attract the occasional Shift Hunter. But I choose to view that as something of an up.

If the Shift Hunters've been troubling you then you shouldn't be wandering solo.

Unless they happen to turn up in numbers of about thirty? Shift Hunters don't trouble me.

And by myself, those numbers are very unlikely to happen.

[ buffy drinks straight from the thermos, opting not to fuss about with the little cap cup. she pulls a mild face but then the peppermint hits and...ah. not so bad. not so bad at all. ]
