A Day In Another World

Who: Anyone in the event
What: For 21 hours, pairs of characters will get to visit one of their worlds
When: Sunday morning, from 1AM to 10PM (in Luceti time)
Where: Somewhere else!
Summary: It's described here. One person will play the host, another the visitor.
Rating: Keep it clean, kids! Move your icky business to appointments posts.

Quick run of things to keep in mind:

-The pair of characters will return to the host's canon point. The host will temporarily return to their physical state at whatever their canon point was.
-Anything they do will be undone after they return to Luceti.
-If they are going to be part of the Alternate Universe aspect of the event, they won't remember the visit until after they have returned to normal.

Disclaimer: Visiting canon worlds will mean having to NPC characters that may already exist in Luceti, but will have no memory or knowledge of it. Be respectful and in character and bear in mind that these do not reflect upon characters in game!

ALSO! Threading out the visit is 100% optional. You're entirely free and encouraged to discuss and handwave what goes on if you want. But if you would like to thread it out, you may do so here.

Hee hee, but of course. Trains, boats, airplanes... just because they exist doesn't mean they can't be inconvenient or expensive.

Yeah, I know a sandsteamer back home can be pretty expensive. I'm always walking everywhere. There's got to be a better way to solve the travel problems of the worlds.

Bikes. [ Joshua giggles. ] Of course, that doesn't solve your problems of getting to or from islands, but they're certainly good choices within cities.

Not unless the bike floated too.

[ Then you shouldn't have engaged Joshua in conversation when he was trying to eat! He downs the last three bites of his pastry and pushes off the wall. ]

Fine, fine. Would you like somewhere nearby, or the most likely place to have donuts?

How about we go someplace close - then get donuts for desert?

[ And he points back at the shop they just came from. If you aren't caring for donuts, then it's really close by, after all... ]

Hm, well, is there a close place that would have donuts? [He REALLY wants donuts, but he suppose that place will have to do if there aren't any near by.]

Back across town at the station, or we could sneak into the cafe whose owner is currently away on business.

Breaking and entering doesn't sound to me like a very good idea in a world that uses money.

Then we can either head back to where we started, or you can eat something here.

Wait. If there were donuts where we started... why did we come all the way here?!

Because I like this bakery better than the other. You'll have to forgive me for assuming that a preference for donuts extended to other pastries as well.

I do like other pastries, I just had a hankering for donuts is all!

Enough of a hankering to head all the way back?

I'm always willing to walk any distance for donuts!

Then let's head back, shall we? [ And Joshua starts walking back in the direction they came from. ]

[Vash will follow willingly enough. He wasn't lying when he said no distance was too great for donuts, but he's not exactly HAPPY about it.]

[ Joshua, in the mean time, is more than willing to walk anywhere around Shibuya. As long as he's in Shibuya.

It's a relief, an indulgence like he hasn't felt in years. ]

Do you miss your home?

Hmmmm, there's people I miss there, but the Planet in general? I'm not really in too big of a hurry to see it again. [Not that he'd refuse to go back, he has Knives to take care of, but it's hard to miss a Planet where nearly everyone was out to kill you. Oh... and the fact that it's almost completely all desert.]

... Fair enough. [ Few people have the same kind of connection Josh has, anyway. ] I certainly prefer this place to Luceti, myself.
