Player Event - Chaos Plot

Who: Helios and pretty much everyone who replied to this post
What: The demon god Apep which affixed itself to Helios’ soul has awoken.
When: August 6th-9th
Where: Starting around house 44 then mainly around town and the woods
Summary: Basically Helios gets possessed and causes all sorts of chaos and destruction that the evil god, Apep, is known for causing!
Rating: R for lots of violence



[ It’s strange how the twist of events of a simple evening walk could change much of everything. In an instant, that was Luceti’s way of things, changing things in an instant. And Helios never even saw it coming. There were still parts of that night and parts of his soul that he never truly understood. But there were always ways of finding out. They say hands on experience is one of the best ways of learning. And this is a lesson he and several others won't soon forget. ]

[ He might just do so if that shift her voice didn't make him falter slightly. The hand with electricity dancing down it twitches slightly. Apep barks out a vicious heartless laugh. ] He has been in pain for far longer than you know. He cannot live without me. You kill me you kill him as well.

[ That was the nature of their torment. One keeping the other alive. He through his powers and Helios through his soul. Rendering Apep nonexistent would meaning killing Helios because a man from his world cannot live with half a soul. ]

[She shakes her head.]

I don't want to kill you. [And it's true. Even though Apep is hurting one of her dear friends, hurting him badly, she doesn't want to take his life.]

But I won't let you hurt him. Let him go.

[folklorist]

[ A smirk. ] No.

[ But he sees it now. The truth behind this woman who dares to stand up against him. The lightning in his hand fizzles out and he backs away into the trees. ]

You will never see him again. He is but a mere vessel now and will be nothing more. [ Unless you kill him is the unspoken statement. But, no, even with all her power this woman...no this being would not hurt him. ]

[As he begins to retreat, so she advances with sure, steady steps.]

That's not true.

Let him go.

[ The snake rising out above Helios gives a loud agitated hiss. It's tone a mixture of pain and frustration. ] Never. This body now belongs to me! It was always meant to be mine.

[ He should have never have lived in the first place. Damnable Ra and his interference. ]

[And with that, Grune has heard enough. She stops where she is, but only to begin casting, and soon black and purple lights appear beneath her feet.

She doesn't want to hurt Helios, but this might be the only way to save him.]

[ The lightning from before crackles and strikes right in front of Grune. Apep gives an angry growl as the shadows undulate on the floor and wind kicks up slightly. ] You will not take me! I will not go back to living in this pathetic man's shadow.

[ Another few strikes of lightning that never hit their intended target. Damn it he wasn't used to this body just yet. Apep turns to the forest then. Power. He needed more if he was to fight this being or any others in this enclosure. He had only just arisen after all. He could not go back. He would not go back! He, one of the most powerful gods, will not become just a fragment of this man's soul again.

Before she has a chance to cast that spell he'll retreat into the forest. This was not a battle he would stay for. He had to recover through the darkness and then, perhaps, he could rid himself of this woman. ]

Bloody Howling.

[But by the time she finishes casting, he's gone, and her eres spins uselessly in the air. Once it fades, Grune crosses the distance that had once been between them, but she's far too late. He's disappeared into the forest and she has no way of knowing where he's gone.

For long moments, she simply stands there, an almost blank expression on her face. Then she turns and begins walking home--not to retreat, but to find her urn.

She made a promise to Helios that she would save him. She will not break a promise to a friend.]
