Who: Helios and pretty much everyone who replied to this post
What: The demon god Apep which affixed itself to Helios’ soul has awoken.
When: August 6th-9th
Where: Starting around house 44 then mainly around town and the woods
Summary: Basically Helios gets possessed and causes all sorts of chaos and destruction that the evil god, Apep, is known for causing!
Rating: R for lots of violence

[ It’s strange how the twist of events of a simple evening walk could change much of everything. In an instant, that was Luceti’s way of things, changing things in an instant. And Helios never even saw it coming. There were still parts of that night and parts of his soul that he never truly understood. But there were always ways of finding out. They say hands on experience is one of the best ways of learning. And this is a lesson he and several others won't soon forget. ]

[There are a few things that are different about Grune today. For one, she's carrying her urn on her shoulder. It's large and made of stone, too solid to be decorative. Though she normally keeps flowers in it, there are none this morning. She intends to use it for its true purpose now: as a weapon.

Though her memory has not improved, today she seems more distant than scattered. She isn't flighty--she's determined.

When she sees Mars, for once, the smile she has for the other woman is small and brief. In response to her suggestion, Grune shakes her head.]

I can't leave. I need to find Helios.

[She had promised to save him from Apep, but before she could do so, he had fled. She's been searching for him ever since, as far as her memory allows, but he seems to be avoiding her.]

[Mars gives Grune a bit of an odd look, the urn on her shoulder and the determined look in her eye changing the Senshi's opinion of the odd woman. What was she? She had no idea, other than an incredibly powerful individual who seemed lost most of the time.

It had bothered her at first, but something about how Grune stated that she needed to help Helios, her posture, and the way she carried that urn. It made her think that perhaps Grune could help fight for Viral, and not just be a nuisance]

Grune-san, did something happen to Helios-san too? I haven't seen him for a few days...

[Her voice is tinged with worry. If Sabriel had gotten to Helios...]

[She nods.]

Apep has Helios and won't let him go. He's hurting him.

[And he won't stop, even when she told him to.]

Apep?!

[Mars is very well versed in mythology and lore, that name immediately rings a bell. Egyptian god. Chaos. Oh...oh...no that's very bad. Was that what the blight on Helios' soul was? Apep?!]

Are you sure, Grune-san?

[Normally, this is a very bad question to ask Grune--but there's nothing more important to her than her friends. When it comes to them, her memory is just a little more focused than usual.]

Hmm.... I think so.

[Mars shakes her head, this is pretty surprising. But Grune's definitely telling the truth. Senshi know determination, and she's being reminded of Usagi right now]

Then, we have a dark god on the loose too? That...explains a lot.

[Her eyes fall to the ground, her gloved hands balling into fists, her voice trembling a bit.]

Grune-san. Have you seen Sabriel-san?

[Now it's Grune's turn to shake her head.]

No, I haven't. Did she get lost?

Lost in another sense of the word.

[Her voice is stern]

If it really is Apep, I think he's corrupted Sabriel. She's lost control over her Free Magic. And she's taken Viral into the forest.

[Grune tilts her head slightly to one side. She only understands a little what Mars is saying, but what she is sure of is that it doesn't sound good at all.]

Why did she do that?

I don't know. She's...lost herself. Sabriel-san's magic has made her into a monster. I think maybe...she wants to make Viral-san into something evil.

[She sighs]

Grune-san, I may need your help. Sabriel-san is very powerful, and I can't stop her without killing her.

[Reaching a decision takes no time at all.]

Don't worry. I'll help you. Then you won't have to hurt Sabriel, and Viral will be safe.

[She and Sabriel once built sandcastles together. She's a good person, and Grune won't let her be turned into a monster. She'll help Mars save her and Viral, and then she'll save Helios, too, so none of them will be hurt any longer.]

Thank you. I...have no desire to kill her. But, if she can't be contained and cleansed, as much as it hurts to even think it...she's too dangerous to let live.

[Not the words you'd expect from a 16 year old, but, Usagi comes first. Period. Mars holds up a strand of warding scrolls, gesturing to some of the trees that have them placed already.]

She's hiding by the Western Lake. I have been preparing a trap for her. A magic circle to contain her so she cannot flee.

[Grune understands what Mars is saying, but all the same, she refuses to accept it. They will be able to save her. She knows it.

When she hears of Mars' trap, that makes her feel a little better.]

That's good. If she doesn't run away, then we'll be able to help her.

...Do you think you'll be able to make one for Helios a little later?

[He keeps running away. If he keeps running away, then she can't save him.]

I hope so.

[She balls up a fist and nods. She wants to help, not hurt, her friend if at all possible]

I do. If I know where he is, and I have enough time, I think I should be able to make another circle. Whether my wards can bind an Egyptian god...I don't know though. I may need help reinforcing them.

I'll help you.

[She'll do whatever she can. She won't let Helios be controlled by Apep.]

Why don't you go get ready, and meet me on the path to the lake in three hours?

All right. I will.

[She won't be there in exactly three hours, because not even her determination can break through the seal on her mind. But she will be there.]
