[She puts down the bottle of disinfectant and frowns at him as she starts putting some gauze over the wound to stop the bleeding.]

A-Are you for real!? You look like, seriously tired. Everyone here needs to rest once in a while and like that includes you, you know.

[He couldn't lie about the exhaustion he was feeling. The circles were probably more noticeable under his eyes, but he had to keep going. Heroes didn't just take a break with lame stuff like this. They kept fighting. That's how people would care about them. If he actually did something.

He can only try and brush off her worries with a smile.]

I'm fine, really. Not tired at all! I'm full of adrenaline and I think my blood's actually caffeine anyways.

Day 4

[Her shoulders slump just a little. Maybe she was wrong. After all, it's not like she's a real doctor or anything. But still...]

Are you sure? E-Even if you're not that tired, it probably wouldn't hurt to rest just for a little bit! At least give your arm a chance to stop bleeding, you know?

[Cross can only continue to offer her a reassuring smile. But, her worry is obvious and maybe he should at least give in a bit to what she wants. If only to keep her from worrying too much.]

All right, all right. I'll rest for a little bit until my arm's feeling better. Okay?

Day 4

Okay.

[She smiles, but just a little. She knows he will likely go back out eventually, but the fact that he's doing as she asked and giving himself a little time to rest is enough. She starts to wrap the bandages over the gauze.]

You'll probably have to get these changed after a while, just so you'll have clean bandages. And...well, like I said, you should probably have an actual doctor look at them before too long. ...And maybe try to get something to eat, too.

Or don't. Like, I don't even think you can call that stuff food. ...Are you sure you're doing okay?

Day 4

[Her concern is touching and he does appreciate it. Someone who actually cares about him is a bit of a ray of light in all this darkness.]

I'll be sure to. But, you should probably take a rest too. You must have been doing this all day.

[His smile falters at her question, but he nods.]

I'll be fine. No worries, okay?

[But, he's not sure he ever will be after all of this.]

Day 4

I'll take a break soon, too. I...I'm not doing anything too major, so I don't need to rest as much as people who are...well. Out there.

[Even if he says he's fine, it doesn't completely erase Pilouette's worries, partially because he looks awful and partially because...well, worrying and being nervous is what Pilouette does.]

Well...I'll try not to worry too much, but watch your wounds! Don't be like, reckless, okay?

Day 4

The stress can be tiring too, y'know. So, maybe you aren't fighting but dealing with all this stuff is still can exhaust you.

Me, reckless? Come on, you...sort of know me. When have I been reckless?

[He gives her a light hearted shrug. Anything to help the girl with her nerves.]

[She smiles just a little bit. The fact that Cross seems so lighthearted and cool-headed about this gives her a little bit of comfort. It makes her think that she should try being a little more positive, too.]

Well, you were planning to go right back out there. I'd call that a little reckless. But...Well, I guess you'd know yourself better than I would. You've known yourself longer after all.
