Daytime Solstice Party
Who: Anyone and Everyone
What: A party to celebrate the longest day of the year
When: June 21st, Noon to Nightfall
Where: The Southern Lake
Summary: Helios and Saori decided to host a party with food, dancing, and friends to mark the solstice, the birthday of a friend, and several other personal things. Residents volunteered to help get it together, and now all the work is done so it's time to set aside their troubles and enjoy summer!
Rating: PG to PG-13 at most (For language most likely)
It'd taken a week, getting everything together, but with everyone pitching in they'd managed it. Food, drinks, decorations, and all the trappings of a fine summer party. An area had been roped off for dancing and music, umbrella'd tables had been procured for meals and relaxing in the shade, and they'd even set up a piano for Fredric to perform with. A gentle breeze kept the lakeshore cool and mosquito free, and by noon everything appeared to be ready for the midsummer party.
The Longest Day, Helios' boyfriend's birthday, and Saori's ascension day had all conveniently coincided, so no matter what you're here to celebrate, enjoy yourselves and have fun! Toss your character anywhere, and remember that all important rule. As a note, teleport sigils to the other party were set up by Helios so feel free to pop between the two. Go ahead and start new top-level comments if you like too, these are just generic ones!

Kouki looks up at the clouds, watching the show as he listens to the story. He smiles at "Buttock Mountain", but the rest of the story remains just as amusing and interesting to him.]
...And the shrine is still standing?

As far as I know, yes. It's somewhere on Hokkaido, though I've never been.
[Too cold up there for a god of summer. It is the Frost shrine after all.]

[Well, the human world he was born on. With how many myths turn out to be true, or have a grain of truth in them, there's always a possibility.]
If there isn't, well, I can tick off Hokkaido off my list of places I went to.

[And it's entirely baffling all of the time. Some places have some shrines, others don't even have gods, and still others aren't even Earth and seem more like something out of a comic book. It's so hard keeping up with the differences.]
And you've never been to Hokkaido? You are missing out, Kouki. It's a truly wild place, even now, with lots of untouched forests. There are even gold mines in the mountains still. And whole villages that haven't really changed since Sakoku ended.

[And with how busy he's been in the war, he have less reasons to leave the demon world. But once he win, he can have all the time he want.]
A wild place and untouched forests... It does sound like a really nice place to visit. How would it compare to Luceti's area?

Hokkaido's much larger, of course. And it's generally colder? But I think the scenery is preferable. Maybe because it's from home, or maybe because I don't think Luceti has too much to offer with regards to shrines, temples, and traditions. After all, none of us are natives.

That's true. Our population changes in cycles. Earth's holidays and traditions might be common because we have a lot of people from Earth, but it's not guaranteed it'll stay.

[She shakes her head with a wistful smile]
Doctor Solus...and Mister Spock. Strange individuals.
no subject
[For whatever reason.]
I haven't met them yet. Are those two from space?
no subject
[Almost like most other universes are set there]
Well, Doctor Solus returned home, but Mister Spock is. He's from a planet called Vulcan, though I know he lives and works with humans. He doesn't look too different from them though, he just has pointed ears and funny eyebrows.

[Hm, Earth's popularity.]
And it is. I'd say Earth's full of many different people, but you can say the same for other worlds.

And yes, I think so too. Stars, there are so many different ways people learn magic here, and so many different kinds. And worlds like ours but different...It's a little overwhelming to think about at times!
no subject
I know! Not only that, but also worlds where one thing can make the world go down a different direction.

[Which, again, reminds him of his own decision and how the lockdown would end.]
