What: A field trip for the entirety of Luceti!

Summary: So you remember all those times Luceti was transformed into Luceti Land? Welcome to Malnosso World, Luceti Land's bigger, cooler brother. Be sure to keep all hands inside the rides at all times, and refer to your map if you get lost. Trust me, you'll get lost.

Carol.

[liaising]

As liaison for Luceti, it is her duty to keep a gentle watch on the enclosure throughout its stay in Malnosso World. This includes joining them in their district, though now and then she does seem to spirit off to places unknown and unidentifiable -- namely the VIP area for Organization employees only.

But beyond those times, she can be found in all off the park sections. Although she rarely climbs onto any of the rides herself, it doesn't take much to convince her into joining you for a turn or two, so long as you're from Luceti and you ask at least somewhat politely. For the most part, her job seems to be to play Mother Hen to her enclosure. And so, in a brightly patterned dress and an even brighter smile, she makes herself available for anyone.

Rogue distrusted brightly patterned dresses and bright smiles on principle. Carol gave Rogue a weird feeling, like she was some cross between a disingenuous Mary Poppins and a hostess at a diner. She disliked feeling watched.

All the same, Rogue had questions. She might as well try to get some answers. She walked over to where Carol was standing and was even relatively polite. "So are these all the enclosures gathered here? What happened to Vashkoth?"

[liaising]

"That question is a popular one," she responded in an even tone -- turning wholly to face Rogue and give her her complete attention. "Understandably, of course. It's hard to spend any time with other enclosures and not become just a little invested in their well-being."

Her reserve was professional, as if there was more she would like to say but was otherwise restrained by her position. So, gently: "I was removed from Vaskoth after the same draft many from your enclosure witnessed. Therefore, as I wasn't there at the time, all I know about their plight is second hand. The Count's forces -- Cultists, all of them -- invaded Vaskoth as slyly as they invaded Luceti. And with considerable more success."

[touchofrogue]

Rogue hadn't formed any particular attachment to Vaskoth - that place had been a horror on top of a nightmare wrapped up in a terror and topped with dynamite. Literal dynamite, that she had been planning on blowing herself and all the zombies up with if it came to that. But there were people she'd spent her life's blood protecting, and a little girl who she'd fought for in order to make it so she'd get a cure...

And this was disturbing on a whole other level.

"What do you mean? What happened to them? And when -- was this before or after the Luceti Invasion?"

[liaising]

"During. It was...during. The attacks were simultaneous -- a trait incongruous with Cultist invasions before this point. It proves that the Count had granted them unanticipated resources for speed and organization. Their numbers grow larger.

And now, with brainwashed recruits from enclosures like Vaskoth, they grow even larger still."

[touchofrogue]

Rogue frowned. There was a lot there and none of it good, but she decided to try to keep it simple. "How many enclosures has this happened to?"

[liaising]

"Vaskoth was the only one seeded for additional troops."

"My, my." Jade raises an eyebrow at the sight of Carol in the middle of Halloween Land. Of course, he's currently cursed with a fear of women which is acutely similar to that of his friend, Guy Cecil. So he's standing more distant from her than she would be, to keep his fear in check. He manages to maintain enough of his composure while he smiles casually. "This really really must be everyone's vacation."

Rather than his normal military uniform, Jade was garbed in a caped costume.

[liaising]

"One man's vacation, sir, is another woman's work-abroad trip. My duties don't lessen just for the distance, I'm afraid."

She gave him a neat little curtsey and continued to smile. "What a lovely cape you have."

"Ah, I see. All of the same duties, just now surrounded by countless sources of entertainment. I suppose there could be worse assignments."

He gives a smirk at her curtsey and responds by pressing a hand to his chest as he does a slight bow.

"You're quite the flatterer. I'll be sure to pass on the compliments to the tailor. Of course, should he ever meet you, he'll be keen to repay your compliment tenfold."

[liaising]

Oh, she looked so pleased!

"You know the man who made it? Is he one of your fellow residents?"

"My, yes. I'm actually uncertain if he crafted them firsthand, but he certainly had control over the designs. It was none other than His Majesty, Peony Upala Malkuth the Ninth. He is perhaps the most flirtatious monarch in the history of Malkuth."

[liaising]

"An Emperor, hmm? And how is he handling life in Luceti. By most accounts, it's rather humble when compared to the life of someone raised in nobility."

[yourfononsarewhack]

"Much better than you might expect. After all, he's spent a good portion of his life trying to avoid such a life of nobility. You can't let your guard down around him, especially with an appearance such as yours, or you'll soon have all your secrets sweet-talked out of you."

[liaising]

"The implication is flattering, sir, but you don't get this far in the job without learning how not to be too sweet-talked."

[yourfononsarewhack]

"Then I suppose that makes one requirement which I already fulfill," he said with a sly smirk. "But then, I suppose we've already had our fill of discussing such a career."

[rashness]

[Rin has... just succeeded in being kicked out of Bubble Land. Banned, really. He knows he lost his temper there (starting something of a fight with some of the employees about how grody the whole thing was) but he has been thrown flat on his ass outside of it by the train stop. He's a bit sore (not that he was beat up, but they did have to rough him out of it) and he ends up getting up on his feet, groaning a little, but still sort of mad. Didn't know why he bothered...

Either way, he turns to go back to the train, somewhat defeated, but this will be right near Carol. Who can recognize him or he'll no doubt recognize her]

[liaising]

Rin!

[ she greets him with a small curtsey. whatever she'd been up to -- tapping a short message on a thin device -- is quickly abandoned in favour of a smile and a greeting. ]

Huh-- [And he ends up glancing over to see- Oh! ]

-Carol! Hey.

[ He... isn't sure how he feels about this but it is nice to see her, despite his emotions running high just a moment ago ]

[liaising]

...Have you been on this one, yet?

[ she points at a rollercoaster not far down the path. notably, she points with her whole hand. it's rude to point with a single finger! ]

[rashness]

No - not yet. I've only been on a few of the rides there yet because... you know, lines.

[liaising]

...Would you like to? [ a sly look! ] You could skip the line, you know. With me.

[rashness]

[ Sweet...]

Oh, sure. I'd like that.

[liaising]

Don't tell the others! I'd hate to be accused of favouritism...

[ she began to walk neatly towards a specially cordoned queue. ]
