All we want to do is eat your brains

Who: Jack Holden, Simon Lauchlan, Eugene Woods, Sam Yao, and anyone they can tempt in
What: Basically a slumber party
When: November 1st afternoon and evening
Where: One of the villas in Luceti's housing area
Summary: Luceti's residents of Abel Township have landed themselves under house arrest. But even if they can't go to the parties, who's to say they can't bring the party to them? (Or at least some takeout, geez, this punishment thing is hungry work.)
Rating: PG? It's just some post-zombie-apocalypse dudes and their houseguests, it's not really gonna be racy.

Maybe Halloween Land hadn't been the best destination for a small cluster of survivors of the zombie apocalypse.

In their defense, they hadn't known when they'd walked in that literal zoms would be all over the place. Even as placid as the things were, all it took were a few too many of the shambling dead in one place, strained nerves and the wrong line of conversation, and one poorly-timed jumpscare to set off the powder keg of their collective neuroses and send them sprinting for the nearest defensible position between them and the exits. And sure, all weapons had been taken to the battle dome. But where they came from, all that defined a weapon was a favourable combination of weight, length, sharpness, and maximum velocity. Where they came from, they'd all learned a few behaviours on an instinctual level.

It was sort of lucky, actually, that they only had managed to get themselves landed under house arrest for the remainder of the day. It meant that they still had contact with the outside world - or at least the portions of it that wandered close enough to the open windows.

[Simon's certainly enjoying it, curled up comfortably and occasionally reaching over to steal one of Sam's gummy sweets.

Sam made a comfy pillow.]

[Sam glares and steals some popcorn in retaliation.]

Man, I'd forgotten how cool this movie is.

[Simon just grins and holds the bowl up for him, because it's not like he minds. He's certainly not going to eat all of it.]

It's pretty entertaining. I remember wanting to see this so bad when I was a kid. I had to sneak a copy home once from a friend.
voiceinthedark: (Incredulous)

[He gets some popcorn, shoveling it into his mouth and he gives Simon a curious look.]

Why'd you have to sneak it home? It's a kid's film, not The Exorcist.
luckynumberthree: Fond, (Seriously)

Might as well have been. My Nan was strict about stuff like this. There were monsters. Magic. It looked evil. [Simon made a face and waved his hand dismissively.] There were a lot of things that weren't 'Nan-approved' when it came to things I wanted to watch.
voiceinthedark: (Awkward)

[He gives Simon a sightly incredulous look. He doesn't normally talk about his family, not like, seriously or anything.]

Really? Man, and I thought my parents were strict. I mean, my grandad used to tell us ghost stories and stuff when he visited.

She turned The Little Mermaid off because the tentacle witch thing was too evil. The Lion King had that crazy monkey who did like Eastern Mysticism. Obviously the devil. One of my friends staged a sleepover so I could see it. [His lips are quirked into a crooked grin, looking amused and making it impossible to tell if he was pulling Sam's leg or not.]

[Whichever it ends up being, Sam is falling for it hook, line and sinker.]

Ursula was meant to be evil. She's the bad guy and... well, evil. That's the point. They defeat her. And... what did you watch then?

[Simon held his hands up in a motion of surrender.] Hey you don't need to explain it to me, I didn't say it made any logical sense. And I don't know. Just random stuff. We didn't watch a lot in general in our house.
voiceinthedark: (Awkward)

I didn't know you lived with your nan.

My dad didn't always approve of me watching so much Western TV and stuff, but he never stopped me. I mean, obviously. You know the stuff I talk about.

I do. [Simon snickered at that, tilting his head back to give Sam a fond look. At the statement about his Nan, he gave a casual shrug.] Didn't you? It's not that big a deal.

I dunno. People don't talk about their families that much. You runners tend to be even more tight lipped than most.

Not really. I mean, no school, no new games of movies or even books unless you want to ask Rajit. I mean there's always the weather I suppose.

Booooring. [Simon sing-songed in amusement, keeping his voice pitched low so they wouldn't bother the others watching the movie.] We can always fall back on the gossip. That seems to be the most entertaining thing these days. Or it was, until here.

Seven likes his gossip now and again, don't let him fool you. [Simon snickered at that, looking as if he had a secret or two of his own.] Janine, however, would be thrilled. You're right.

Mate, if you don't know what gets up when we're private, you and I have to have a serious talk.
