Who: OPEN to all!
What: Movies, movies, movies! And games and food too.
When: All day Saturday, June 7th (starts 11ish)
Where: Rec Center
Summary: Ginia throws a movie marathon at the rec center for entertainment and post-draft distractions.
Rating: PG-13 for some of the movies shown, but let's keep it around here or lower.

On Thursday, flyers were posted around the village with another notification of the movie marathon and the list of movies that will be shown:

The Sword in the Stone
Grease
Robin Hood: Men in Tights
Moulin Rouge
The Princess Bride
Jurassic Park
Clue
Rocky Horror Picture Show

Come Saturday, the list can also be found outside the rec center. Inside the center, there are tables set up filled with food: fruit and veggie platters, cookies and cake from the bakery, sandwiches, packages of popcorn (with a microwave nearby), and an assortment of packaged candy. As food begins running low, runners will be sent to the stores to bring back more. There are also drinks - water, sodas, juices, tea, and coffee. Alcohol is bring your own, but Ginia also has a small table set aside with some gin, whisky, vodka, and mixers.

Besides what seating is already in the rec center, additional chairs, large cushions, and even two beanbag chairs have been brought in. For those who want to hang out but not watch movies, there's still pool, board games, and a few deck of cards.

Enjoy, relax, and try not to think about the draft.

[While they're on that topic, gives her a once over.] Or maybe corset 'nd feather boa instead, Janet?

Hmmm, I don't know. Not sure if a corset's my speed. On you, though... [She teases. Dammit, Janet.]

Think that trend has passed for men, 'part from certain corners of the internet.

'nd don't think I can do that as much justice as ya could. The stockin's I could still, mais not the corset.

I hadn't considered. Though I suppose that would be only fair. Hmn. [She considers, as if this is some huge imposition he's asking.]

Starting something is one thing. I still asked first. [She tiches, turning back to the movie.]

I find finishin' something to be much more important, wouldn't ya agree Jeanie?

[Ohh, finally an expression change out of her! She arches both eyebrows as she looks at him.]

Why, Remy; if I didn't know any better, I'd think you were insinuating something there!

[Suppressing a laugh at her reaction, Remy kept his smirk he had in place.]

Now Jean, what possibly four ya mean? I just sayin' I be a man who likes to get a job done, all the way to the end.

What were ya thinkin' of?

Oh well... the way you were talking...[She traces her finger, mock-bashful along an invisible line on the back of the couch, over towards Remy, and then up on his shoulder.] It just sounded like... you know. You were a surgeon.

[She smirks, withdrawing her hand.]

We got some things in common. Skilled with our hands. Know the important points to hit. Know how to use a variety of specialized tools.

Oh? And what kind of 'tools' do you use? [This is a very bizarre game of Chicken they're playing.]

That all depends on the job at hand, different situations require different ones ya know. Get the same outcome, mais so many different paths to get to it. [Yes it was, very much so.]

I'm not sure what you mean. ... Perhaps you could give me an example?

< After all Jeanie, we only got to explore a small sample of what I can do to ya. >[He was still getting use to have the two conversations at once, spoken and telepathy, but didn't mean Remy wasn't starting to pick up how to do it.]

Nonsense. You could be very good at what you do, and give away your secrets. That's what teachers are. Haven't you ever wanted to-- teach someone?

[She smirks, considering this a victory. She got him to be specific first. A battle she's sure he didn't realize they were having, but fun for her, none the less.]

< Now now; I remember doing some very fun things to you, too. That was hardly a one-way street. >

< Oh, don't ya worry Jeanie, I ain't forgettin' that 'nytime soon. > [Funny, Remy thought it was still going on. Shhh, don't tell him otherwise.]

To inspire the next generation? Make me sound like I be all washed up.

Well you know what they say; Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach. It's not a saying I particularly agree with, but you have been doing an awful lot of talking.

Well, if you want them?

[She doesn't mind. But...she's a little forgetful.]

We had to hunt this man down through...oh...um. Arizona and New Mexico? I think those were the states. His name was Brigger, and he was part of a gang. Mister Pinkerton...Robert, and I rode horses after him, basically. I was able to follow him by scent, and when we caught up to him there was a fight and he was killed.

It wasn't terribly exciting, really. Lots of riding, and requests from Robert to join his organization.

[ MASAOMI IS HERE. He proposed one of the movies, he knows a lot of the people scheduled to come, and he likes to socialize. Thus, he's here and here's going to live it up in terms of socializing. His attention is rapt for the musicals (and Jurassic Park), but it does admittedly wane a bit with some of the older movies on display here. So while he does sit and watch and maybe sing along or chat up for a lot of the time...

When his attention wanes, he makes to use the other things in the Rec Center. Like the Air Hockey table if anyone willing to go for a game (oops hope that isn't too loud) or checking out things on his journal. He's got no real reason to not camp here all day, and it's evidenced by the fact that he brought Linda, many apples, and one of the bento lunches Cilan made the other day.

Oh and he will try to flirt with the ladies but what else is new ]
