Brave Vesperia Meeting
Who: All members of Brave Vesperia (that are around and able to attend, anyway), and anyone else who may have wandered in by accident.
What: A short Brave Vesperia guild meeting.
When: February 7th, from noon till 1PM (or whenever people decide they've had enough, so it can certainly last longer).
Where: Barracks.
Summary: A general group get-together, so everyone knows who's who. A "swearing in" for new members can be threaded out here too, otherwise they'll be assumed to have been hand-waved.
Rating: E FOR EVERYONE :|b
The usual end-of-the-month meeting for Brave Vesperia had been changed. After all, with that missing weekend happening only a day or two prior, Yuri felt it'd be silly to herd everyone into a meeting while they were likely trying to get their bearings straight again. So, that day, he sent out a quick message to all those in the guild - the meeting would be changed to the 7th of the next month, and it'd only be about an hour long.
Unlike the more strict meetings one might expect from one of Luceti's long-standing groups, this one is almost too casual - and that's exactly the way Yuri intends for it to be, this time at least. Given how short the actual meeting is, there aren't any refreshments set out. Instead, there are just enough chairs set out for everyone near a corner of the barracks, underneath a flag marked with the guild's symbol. For the most part, this "meeting" is for three things only:
First, to address any concerns anyone might have about the guild, make suggestions if they feel like it, or mention any jobs/potential jobs they might have picked up for the guild and haven't reported to Yuri yet. Second, so the new guys could get sworn in - not that that was really a big deal, but Yuri felt it'd be best done in person, rather than over the journal. Third? Well, so everyone knew who was in the guild, especially with the large amount of new recruits they just got.
[[OOC: To make things easier on everyone, I'll throw three thread types out there - "Pre-announcements", for any early arrivals to interact, "Announcements", where Yuri will make an announcement or two and anyone who feels the need to announce anything themselves are free to do so as well, and "Post-announcements", for all other interactions, including any swearing-in threads anyone wants to thread out rather than hand-wave. For the curious, it's just your character repeating a line Yuri asks for them to repeat ("I swear to uphold the guild's law, for the guild's sake and my own.", that law being "Always act in the interest of the guild.") - but I don't at all mind threading it out for those who want to.
Also, I know I keep harping on about it, but make sure you've all joined the
lucetibv community, so you don't miss anything big the guild ends up doing! Thanks, guys o/

... wow, I don't think I've ever seen so many people in a meeting at once before. Yuri really did a good job!

[Mao nods.]
For how long have you been a member?

I was a member for a long time, but then I quit for a while, so I'm kind of like a new member all over again.

[he takes a good look at Emil now.]
...What kind of skills do you have?

[hmm.]
Well, you don't really look like someone who knows how to fight with a sword...

[there, her up a little]
And it doesn't matter how someone looks anyway.
