What: Pinkie Pie's Kinda-Annual Super Special Friendship Jamboree #1!
When: Friday evening until Saturday night
Where: The Battle Dome
Summary: Come celebrate a night with the Ancient Roans, an old pony culture who wore togas, worshiped goddesses with funny names, and had entertainment in a giant coliseum. The Battle Dome will become a Roman-themed bath house on Friday, and a coliseum on Saturday for fights and further entertainment. Togas are required. If you do not have one, one will be provided for you.
Rating: PG? PG-13? P stands for Party, right?

Well everybody it's that moment you've been hearing about all month. All the excitement and enthusiasm all culminates in this evening. From early in the morning, Pinkie Pie and her band of friends have been hard at work setting up this magnificent display. The events for the party are as follows:

Friday
Morning: Pinkie and friends will be booting everyone out of the Battle Dome to begin setting up. This includes hanging decorations, setting up music, finishing up the food, and figuring out how this crazy hologram thingy works. Hilarity abounds.

Afternoon-Evening: The festivities begin! The music is pumping, the food is hot, and the baths are even hotter. The dance floor is wide open if you feel like cutting a rug, or maybe you'd be more interested in grabbing a hot turkey leg, or a slice of the multitude of cakes and pies provided? Party games are strewn about the dome as well, so have at it! Adele and Marceline will both be performing music in the evening, and if you (or the alcohol inside you) feel you have some musical talent to share, you are more than welcome to come on stage.

Night: Things start to wind down late into the night. The bath house is still open for anyone who wants to take a dip and relax. Pinkie will be making her rounds to check up on anyone who hasn't stumbled back home yet. You don't want to end up falling asleep in a tub of hot water, do you?

Saturday
Afternoon-Evening: The bath house is now gone, replaced instead with a Roan Coliseum. Food and drink is still provided, and is just as plentiful and varied as it was the day before. Now, guests are welcome to step into the coliseum for fights and entertainment. Now's your chance to fight for glory and respect. Will you dedicate your victory to the goddess Fluttershy? Or maybe attempt to win a favor from the Pink Caesar? Whatever you choose, be sure to make it entertaining. Challengers may choose to fight each other, or against classic Roman stand-ins, such as gladiators and lions. Rainbow Dash will be serving as referee for all fights.

Night: The Jamboree comes to a close with a fireworks display to celebrate everyone who attended, and the friendship made or reinforced during the time spent here. By all means, take as much food or drink as you want back home with you, and keep the togas as a reminder of all the fun you had this night. Once again, Pinkie will be around to make sure everyone gets home safely.

Friday Evening to Saturday Afternoon

[Friday Evening]

[Again Beast had forgotten until the last part of the day that he was invited to a celebration... so of course once he's found the location of the Battle Dome and has arrived at the gathering the idea of a theme left his mind completely. He notices soon after how badly he stands out even more than usual, so he ends up going to the pile of togas trying to find something that could possibly be in his size.

After all of that, he finally gets to relax and wander around, as always ending up somewhere near where the food is, munching on something or other while watching the others dance and chat and do all that social stuff. Care to make him join?

Then when night approaches he finally becomes curious enough to explore those baths and settles himself down in one of them. Mm... this is quite nice, actually... very relaxing... maybe too relaxing, his head is beginning to nod off...]

[Saturday Afternoon]

[Thankfully someone does manage to get him out of the baths before the night is over, and he is shocked to find they have disappeared the next day to be replaced with... why is everyone fighting? Is this like those cock fights he heard about? He's going to be doing a lot of staring while once again hovering over the food table. The more he thinks about this "Roan" theme, the more he's beginning to think he's heard about it before... not much, but a little...]

[Robin spots him lounging and nearly sleeping in the baths. Well, she didn't expect to see him again. Here she comes in a toga that's somewhat precariously placed to sit on the edge of the tub and rest her feet in the water]

It's been a long time, ne?

Huh? Wha-? [Immediate jerk when he sees there's someone else with him! Oh no, she didn't see him sleeping, did she, he still has the... wait, she looks familiar.]

Ha... h-have we... met...?

[toujoursfluer]

Mm. A long while ago. We were involved in a little housebreaking.

[She kicks her feet absently, stirring up the water]

[tailasoldastime]

House, h-housebre-? [Wait... that building. And getting stuck in that thing. And the... arms...] You?

[toujoursfluer]

Unless there is someone else you go house breaking with. [She sounds amused]

I... n-no, I don't, I-I just... [Haven't seen you around lately. And you look a little different. And that toga is a bit distracting he didn't expect to see you again.]

I... uh... s-sure. [He awkwardly shifts his weight to make room for her in the spa.]

So what is your story? I don't believe I've ever heard it.

[Still awkwardly shifting, mostly just out of nervousness.]

M... m-m-my story?

Mm. Where do you come from. What is your world like. I'll tell you mine if you tel me yours.

[tailasoldastime]

I... uh... W-well, I...

... I... I-I come from... France. [... Oh right.] E-Earth. [... Oh right, that too.] S-seventeen... fifty... I think.

[toujoursfluer]

[She's read of Earth. It seems to have quite a number of alternate histories. Strange place. She's also heard of France] So what is it you do in 1750s France?

[tailasoldastime]

I... I, uh...

I... d-didn't do... much. Outside my... home. [He is subconsciously sinking into the tub.]

[toujoursfluer]

[she watches this with raised eyebrows, wondering if he is trying to drown himself]

Do you enjoy it?

[tailasoldastime]

I... ih, it...

[He looks into the water.] N... n-not until... s... soon before I... I came... here.

[toujoursfluer]

It's a pity that you had to leave then. Good times are hard to come by. [She smiles lightly] Perhaps you'll return home soon, ne?

[tailasoldastime]

[He nods in agreement... good times were especially hard to come by for a Beast.

Though it has been better since he came here, even if it isn't home. It is difficult to choose one over the other sometimes.]

Maybe... maybe I will.

[She waits for a moment before adding]

I'm a pirate. [Since she did promise] And we are rather notorious. [Though for all the wrong reasons. Or, perhaps, all the right ones]

[tailasoldastime]

[His head perks up.] A... pirate? [It sounds annoyingly familiar, as if he had heard about them years ago and just can't quite remember what they are.]

Yes. Why? Does that make you nervous? [She sounds mildly curious]

[tailasoldastime]

I... n-no! [He shakes his head vigourously and straightens up. Should he be nervous?] What... wh-what... is a pirate?

[She'll give him a glance at that. Odd that he wouldn't know as she was fairly sure there are pirates on Earth. But sometimes people are strange in what they pick up and what they don't.]

Well, the answer to that really depends on who you ask. Though I suppose the official explanation is something equivalent to bandits on the sea.

Bandits?! [A small splash is made from his shock. He is beginning to remember something he heard that fit that explanation, and he is having trouble believing that Robin really is that.] Y-you mean... like thieves?
