You want me to go to the beach with you? I'm not shore I can make it.
Who: Robin, Jason, Artemis, Zatanna, and Static
What: It's hot outside, so you know what that means? Beach trip!
When: Tuesday, July 23rd
Where: The beach!
Summary: Between the last Shift and the heart shard mess, the Titans decide that a break is in order. (If anyone asks, it's a team-building exercise.)
Rating: PG! Probably.
Summer's almost over and some people haven't been to the beach even once yet! It's practically a crime. But fortunately, it's not too late to fix that, and after relatively recent events, now definitely wasn't a bad time for the Titans to take a trip to the beach. Most of them could use the break, some are just looking for a chance to have fun, and others... might just need a little sunlight. Just maybe.
Either way, today's a great day to spend at the beach. The sun shines bright, and sure, there's not much of a breeze, but the water is nice and cool—absolutely perfect for swimming. Hopefully, everyone brought swimsuits and towels because no one's leaving here without going in the water. Oh, and don't forget sunscreen. Definitely don't forget sunscreen. Have some snacks, play some games, bury each other in the sand— whatever it is you decide to do, though, just make sure you have fun!

You miss him. Don't you?
[There's not even any judgment inherent in the question. Yet.]

Close, but no cigar. I miss home, bird boy. Everyone here is way too nice.

[
Ssh Dick you already do.]no subject
[The grin on his face doesn't fade even as he says that.]

[...he still seems pretty pleased with himself for causing annoyance, though.]

I didn't mean to lecture you.
I'm sorry.
[Ow that hurt to say.]

What are you apologizing for? Isn't that what leaders do?
[He didn't like it, of course (both the lecturing and the leader thing), but that's just the way he is. He doesn't expect apologies for any of the things Dick does!
...wait, that's probably a bad thing. But still.]

[He kind of wonders sometimes, he can't lie about that.]
Besides, I can handle your lecturing just fine.
[Because as far as he's concerned, he's a lot less obligated to listen to him, l m a o]

You make a lot more sense than the girls do.

I think they make plenty of sense, but I'll take that as a compliment. Could be the whole "bird" thing we have in common, you know? But that's just a guess.

You know what it takes to make a team work. It shouldn't be exclusive to how we work at home.

Actually, my experience with teamwork is pretty limited. [Not bitter at all, not... at all...] But maybe we can fix that next time around. Can't promise the girls will be expecting fewer dates, though.
