Who: The Usopp Pirates! and anyone they might invite along/get followed in by, pretty much.
What: A meet and greet.
Where: Battle dome!
When: November 21st-ish.
Summary: Kind-of pirates getting together to mingle, tell stories, and fight against a life-ruining turn in weather. And whatever else might go afoul.
Rating: G? I'll change it if necessary.
[ WOW, what a great day for a picnic, am I right?
All things considered, it's possibly not even slightly the best time for Usopp to have arranged this get-together of sorts. Between the phobias, the depressing return trips home, and the fact that all pirates- even the fake, having-fun kind- are cursed with life-ruining, it's hard to find room for some harmless shenaniganry.
Not that he knows about half of those things. Or any of them.
Usopp doesn't see why he can't try, anyway. So he scrawls out a buttload of personal invitations for "in about three hours", all of which have a few too many exclamation points, to be completely honest. He then proceeds to spend two and a half hours at the Battledome figuring out how to Do The Thing with all this machinery.
Congratulations everyone, it's a random pirate ship. Start with the basics, he figures. He's also very resourcefully (super easily) tossed together a basket of pre-packaged sandwiches and chips and some random drinks he found that he thought looked cool at the time. Aw yeah, preparation.
Usopp hangs around outside the chamber until everyone he thinks is coming manages to turn up, at which point he will begin socializing like he's never socialized before. Spoilers: it's exactly how he socialized before. There's a lot of talking going on, oops.
And thanks to Nami making an ill-planned deal with a vengeance demon, the in-Dome festivities will end with a surprise typhoon! Not quite at strike-people-down-with-lightning-and-the-fury-of-gods level, but pretty troublesome in terms of wind and low visibility.
Basically everyone can threadjack/mingle and have fun and use whatever format they feel most like using. ]

Before doom!
[On the ship he's a bundle of energy and excitement. He's never really been on a real boat before like this. Although he's now seen the ocean several times now, he's never been so far out he couldn't see any land. It was amazing to him.
That is, once he's gotten over the motion sickness just a bit. He spends the first part of the trip nearby the railing. Once it passes however he's eager to lend a hand and ask questions.]
What if there's no air? How do we move? How do the canons work? What's this attached too? Is this thing important? Can I steer! How do I steer? What's that! There's not really a poop deck is there?
[Although, once in awhile he can be found being calm and quiet. Staring off into the sea. A big smile on his face as he watches the waves. How he wished he could show his friends back home all of this. It was simply amazing.]

You are quite inquisitive.

Although, are you sure you're alright. Those bandages don't exactly look comfortable.

[The Vulcan is curious about this 'pirate' setting.]

[Spock looks over the edge of the boat.] I am from a desert planet, hot temperatures and very few bodies of water.
[He's sailed the stars... does that count?]

[If Vash was more open about himself he and Spock could probably trade some interesting space stories.]

[There's the real reason why Spock doesn't really like water. He doesn't really know how to swim.]
Do you swim?
no subject
[He laughs a bit shyly at the question of his own swimming. Remembering the first time he had ever tried. He wasn't an amazing swimmer, but had thankfully figured it out fast enough to get his friends to shore before they drowned.]
I've been slowly learning since coming into Luceti. Never really know when it will come in handy.

Who is teaching you?

[I guess it entirely depends on how much you like water. For Spock, it's quite something to just get into the water and trust that you can breath when he need to.]

Then again, maybe I should try to find a real teacher when the weather warms up again.

[She was a very good swimmer.
Oh~? What's under the coat, Vash?]
no subject
I do know her. I'll have to give that a think over. [As there is no way he'll ever be caught dead in swimming trucks with a girl around.]
no subject
It's cold~]
She is... patient. Which is always most appreciated.

Don't worry, Vash! I'm sure we'll be able to figure out the answers to all your questions! You're sailing with a real live expert, after all. Not everybody gets so lucky with their choice in captains. [ talk yourself up more usopp jeez ]

....is there really such thing as a poop deck? [That may be the most important question he has at the moment.]
