Zompania Draft - The Infiltration [Day 3]
Who: Thor Odinson, Zuko, Fayt Leingod, Silver, Naru Shikamaru, Rudy Roughnight, Elizabeth, Robert Lutece, Levi, James T. Kirk, Sam Yao, Itachi Uchiha + organized distraction teams
What: THE GREAT BOMB DISARMING
Where: The sub-basement of the Zompania school
Summary: Once the bomb is discovered, a smaller team of Luceti's draftees descend upon it with one goal-- secure and disarm the bomb, or face that creepy staring-thing again. (This wasn't anybody's last day before retiring, right...?)
When: Day 3 of the draft
Rating: Violence and possible torture on Team Capture's end...
((Repost of the Mod Info:
To get to the bomb and disarm it, the team of infiltrators must:
Disable the shield that is around the bomb. The power for the shield is being diverted from Zompania’s barrier.
The bomb is heavily guarded by Shifters and Foot Soldiers, all of whom must be disabled or killed.
Deal with the five cultist “scientists” in the sub-basement, who are integrating the power source they crafted at the altar, using all of those sacrifices. There are several books with them, which contain all of their research. Just stopping the scientists will basically save the day, but you really don’t want to leave what is effectively a nuclear bomb powered by souls just lying around, do you? Of course you don’t.
Disarm/destroy the bomb. How will you do it? Read the schematics? Make the scientists do it? Watch out, one of them might trigger the self-destruct mechanism...
It is ultimately up to the draftees to decide what to do with the bomb, the scientists, and the information they hold. But if they succeed, this changes the course of history. The bomb is not dropped.))

Though he can't do this all the time, sometimes there's others in the area. So he has to land, cursing those who placed themselves in the blast area. From here he has to fight cultists, sometimes with powers and sometimes without, to get to the ship so he can at least take it out without killing other Lucetians in the process.]

She spots her father up in the sky and takes care to fly far out of his prospective blast radius. Not only would she rather fight near him, but up in the sky is where she can be most useful.]
Hey dad.

Bulla! ...
[He hasn't seen her since they left from home! He knew she was alive, since he could sense her energy, but still. It's his daughter ;; ]
How have you been faring since our beloved hosts brought us back from the dead?

[Which is honestly a lot better than she thought she'd be in this situation. She's not an experienced warrior. Nearly all of her fighting experience has been in the Battle Dome or in friendly sparring matches. It's helped, though. Especially fighting in the Battle Dome against the Third Party.
After being stabbed, they'd haunted her nightmares for a while until she trained against them and gained a sense of confidence that she could hold her own against them if need be.]
It's...intense. I've been doing my best to keep up and help everyone. I'm trying not to use up too much ki, so I can give some to any of the healers here.

I suppose now is as good of a time as ever to get some practice in. Stay with me. We don't need to blast things apart to make them suffer. [And down he floats to one of the docking bays with a lot of airships. There's other Lucetians there, so they couldn't of blasted it anyway.]
no subject
[Bulla follows along and wonders if he's going to show her anything new, or if this will be a review of what she already knows. Either way, there are so many cultists that they're in no danger of running out of foes.]
no subject
[He makes sure to land next to one of the airships, around the corner where no cultists were currently.]
Listen, I've got an idea. Let's disable these instead of destroying them. When the time comes, if they think it's still functional, they'll try to use this; and that might buy us some time. And we're going in the back door.
no subject
Great idea! Then we can take them by surprise if we need to, as well, because they'll be distracted trying to get the airships to work.
no subject
[He steps back, gesturing towards the wooden back end of the airship. He figures she can put those gauntlets to more use.]
no subject
Rather than hold her hand in a fist, she extends her fingers in a knife-hand position and stabs the gauntlet through the wood.]
Have you already broken one this way? Should I be pulling out wires or anything?
no subject
[He inclines his head again to the airship.] Go ahead. Create our door.
no subject
After you, Dad.
[Bulla motions for him to go in ahead of her with a little smile on her face. She might as well try to keep as positive an outlook as she can manage when they're not right in the thick of fighting.]

The coast is clear. Looks like this is one of the storage compartments. But there's nothing in here! But no matter. [He opens up the door leading into the hallway, continuing on.]
no subject
[Those things are a pain to deal with. She's glad she's been training enough to be able to hold her own in a fight and not rely solely on her powers. The shifters might be less common than any other type, but they're difficult.]
no subject
[But there's a click at the back of the hallway, where they had just come from...]
no subject
The click gets her attention, though, and she glances back to see what might have made that noise.]
no subject
What's worse are those blasted elites, if it weren't for the fact that one can feel the vibrations in the air from their invisible blades, they might of been dangerous. That's something we'll work on. [He continues to talk, albeit a little quieter, but he still doesn't sense any energy so he's not really worried about it. He's sure if there were cultists around, he'd be able to sense them.]
[After the click, there's a creaking noise, though nothing down the hall seems to be moving.]
no subject
Dad, did you hear that? I just heard a click and a creak. I don't see anyone, but...
[She's got a bad feeling about it anyway, although maybe it's just that she's jumpy. She hasn't seen that many real battles, after all.]
no subject
Where.
[It's the only thing he says, quietly. No need to speak more than necessary.]
no subject
There wasn't a lot of power in it - the blast would be small, concentrated, and not travel much further than their original entrance. But it would surely hurt if there was something there.]
no subject
Instead, he starts down the hall, back from where they came from. He can hear something now too. Something rustling in one of the compartments.]

no subject
To another empty room. He looks angry and confused, stepping inside to get a good look.]
Nothing. Not a darn thing. [Maybe he really is getting old, he thinks. But the door behind them is slightly open as well...]
