Zompania Draft: Coming Home
Who: Anyone drafted to Zompania, or recruited as reinforcements, or left behind in the village. SO. Everybody!
What: The draftees and reinforcements return to the village.
When: May 26, early early in the morning
Where: Back in Luceti
Summary: Most draftees and reinforcements return to Luceti in the very early hours; now, instead of a medevac site for the draft, the village is a welcome (?) refuge from the nightmare of Zompania for its own. There's a high likelihood it still looks a lot like it has in the past few days; those in the fight didn't even get a chance to shower before returning.
(This is the place for all your post-draft trauma and reunions and every other thing. Have fun! And don't forget to entry-tag your character.)

Action!
[But, she knew that as bad as she might be feeling, Ion was probably feeling worse. He'd never really done well around violence before, and combined with the intensity of the fighting, and the corpses, and the bomb, she couldn't imagine how he was feeling now. He would definitely need someone to help him out, and she was hoping that talking to him might calm her down, too.]
[She'll wait until nightfall before knocking on his door.]
Ion?
Action!
[As tired as he felt, Ion couldn't sleep. He'd barely slept more than an hour since they got back, and for now he's decided to just give up on it. And so when Anise opens his door, she'll find him sitting on top of his bed, his knees pulled up to his chest as he stares ahead at nothing in particular. His hair was still jagged along the ends where it had been cut, and he had his wings draped over his shoulders like a make-shift blanket.]
[His eyes turn towards the door, and he doesn't really move until he sees who it is. And even then, it's just enough to turn his head in her direction.]
...are you having trouble sleeping, too?
Action!
A little, yeah.
[She pauses, not really sure what to say next. It didn't really feel right to ask him how he was doing; the answer was pretty obvious, and it might drive those wounds a little deeper.]
Anything I can get for you? A glass of water, or something to eat?
[She's not sure what else she can do to help unless he wants to talk about it, but she doesn't want to force the issue, either.]
Action!
[Anise does have one advantage in talking to Ion about this -- she's really become one of the few people he's not comfortable being dishonest to. With anyone else, save for perhaps Nephry, he probably wouldn't be quite as open.]
[But really, for as terrible as Ion feels after the draft, there's a large part of him that's worried about Anise. Ion had some experience on drafts before. And even knowing there's no way he could have predicted this would happen, he still felt as though he should have spoken with Anise about them more, so she might have known what they were in for ahead of time.]
...how are you doing, Anise?
Action!
[She doesn't push the issue about the food; especially not after earlier, where she'd barely been able to keep something down herself. Ion would need to get his strength back eventually, but right now, pushing the issue might only make things worse. Neither of them could really handle that.]
Fine, I guess. It's a little weird being back, though.
[She tries to hide her insecurity with a laugh, but it only comes out awkward and stilted.]
Action!
It may take a few days for it to really feel like we're back. Perhaps even a week...
[A week would be when Asch and Tear would be back, after all. Along with the others who didn't come back on the draft.]
Re: Action!
[She's still not sure how to feel about Tear, either. Asch was someone she didn't really talk to, and so him being gone affect her, but not as much. Tear, on the other hand, Tear was someone she knew who had actually died. The house felt emptier, and while she knew she'd be back eventually, it was a long and painful wait.]
[But, in the meantime, they had to keep their spirits up!]
But, at least we're here now, right?
