The Monster Within

Who: Wan Shi Tong and YOU!
What: Wan Shi Tong returns from his mallynap as a Dark Spirit.
When: Late evening of Sept. 27th
Where: Near the Wind Community Building and the surrounding houses.
Summary: Due to a combination of Vaatu's dark spirit energy and his own anger, Wan Shi Tong dark side has become unbalanced and turned him into a violent Dark Spirit that's attacking the village! 
Rating: V for Vendetta Violence. PG-13ish
(( Threadjacking is encouraged! Also might contain Korra Book 2 Spoilers ))

[Late on the evening of the 27th many of the villagers, who aren't still awake, might find their sleep disturbed by a loud shriek that emanates from one corner of the village. Those living in the Wind Building will hear it most. And if they happen to look out their windows, will see a gigantic spirit owl passing by. 

Wan Shi Tong has returned, but he's clearly not himself. His appearance is very distorted. He's huge, at least twice his normal size, and resembles something more of a feathered dragon than an actual owl. His large wings spread and his neck craned as he lets out another horrific cry of anger. A long tail lashing in irritation. His entire body is a glowing purple color, with the exception of his white face. Large yellow glowing eyes stare at the village with malicious intent. The feathered "horns" on his head are elongated and only add to his terrifying appearance, along with the serrated beak and nightmarishly long talons on his feet. 

He proceeds to stomp through the village, stopping at one house that happens to be unoccupied. One wing plows into the side of it before he then decides to jump on its roof. Beak ripping at the shingles as if ripping flesh. Wan Shi Tong has clearly lost his mind, going on a rampage of sheer anger driven by the darkness he has been tainted with.]

(( OOC NOTE: A resolution has been planned! The Avatars, Aang and Korra, will be the ones to ultimately stop Wan Shi Tong. But feel free to try and fight him or whatever. The only stipulation is that he NOT be killed! ))

[ Rin is walking back from the Battle Dome to go to the main square and pick up some food. He's actually a little bit surprised that it's night, given the fact he's been all over the Dome lately - but he yawns and makes to head back to get the food. As he does, though, the guy passes by the Wind building and can't help but hear some weird rustling. He looks over his shoulder and then kinda glances around it ... ? ]

[knowitowl]

[When Rin looks he will suddenly see the face of a very large owl spirit looking back at him. The dark spirit's glowing yellow eyes narrow at him. He then hisses angrily and lunges at Rin with a loud shriek!]

[rashness]

[ What. He's too bleary to really react to that, so there's a good chance - no, actually, there's a certainty he's going to be hit, clawed, or shoved (dealer's choice) before he can even really manage to react. What - who, what is this? ]

Just tell me if this is not okay.

[knowitowl]

[Since Rin is too paralyzed to move, he'll find himself getting snapped up in Wan Shi Tong's serrated beak. Then with a toss of his head, throws him into the air, leaving him to land wherever he might go.]

Rin's very strong with super healing, so...

[rashness]

[ Which opens up a decent sized wound on his chest and he's tossed up. He goes flapping around here and waves his arms as he flails, some blood and a lot of panic going as he - touches down on a roof here. But then he lifts his head up and narrows his eyes, causing some blue fire to pop up on either side of Wan Shi Tong. Damn ]

[Wan Shi Tong doesn't pay the blue fire much heed. In fact he stretches out his huge wings, flapping them several times. This causes him to stir up great gusts of wind on either side before he takes to the air. The spirit owl then taking a dive towards Rin once again. His tail lashing out to strike him.]

[rashness]

What on -- What's your problem?! [ This causes is sword to get knocked aside even more than it already was. But Rin tries hard to get a grip on the owl when the guy comes in - but right now, the force of a flying thing means he can't ground himself enough to stop him or toss him . So he's probably to be picked up ]

[knowitowl]

[There is no response to his words, only action. Wan Shi Tong swoops down and snatches Rin up in his talons, taking part of the roof with him as well. The sickening crunch and splintering of wood ringing through the air before he sails high into the night's sky.

Terrible screams peel from his throat as he flies in a wide circle around the village with Rin in tow. Then, as quickly as he had picked him up, Wan Shi Tong releases him. Allowing him to fall the couple hundred feet from the air.]

[rashness]

[ What the hell!! What the hell! Rin, as he's falling, is roaring a little. And he's confused - yes, the bird seemed angry and he was more than a little weird, but isn't this... that same bird? With the library thing? Why is he attacking him? Why is he picking hm up? And why-

Is he falling from this high?

Can he survive a fall from this high?

Hes not sure, particularly if he's going to fall on his back like this...?! ]

Dammit, get a Griiip, you jackass!

[ As he's falling, but it echoes more than a little vainly in the night air. But if he connects with the ground, he'll definitely be in trouble, and- and- That shikmaru guy said he should visualize his flames to do things, right? And big rocket engine things use flames, right...? So he should be able to use his flames like a rocket, right? As he falls, he tries to close his eyes and picture it. He's in no way calm to manage it, but- as long as he gets an image of it, it should be okay, right? Just release it all and- ]

Satan... Rocket!

[ And with that, he thrusts his arms towards the ground to envision it and- a huge torrent of blue flames shoot out from his limbs and tail. down towards the ground to shoot himself back up in the air in the direction of Wan Shi Tong. It's not going to sustain him, and it's fair from controlled (as evidenced by the fact that he flames are spewing wildly out of control and are several times the size of his own body) but it's enough to shoot him up and make him defy gravity back in the bird's direction!

...

That said, he's not going to be able to stop if he misses. ]

[Hearing the scream and seeing the blaze of fire coming his way, the dark spirit turns to look and snarls venomously. This human is tenacious, but he will not allow himself to be taken down again! He was killed by these barbarians once, and he will be sure to kill them all before they can do it again.

With a flap of his wings, the giant owl whirls around to face his oncoming attacker. His long tail whipping around and lashing at Rin, swatting at him as if he were little more than a fly.]

I will not be defeated so easily this time, human!

[rashness]

Shut up already! [ Rin roars this, trying to take this moment to take hold of Wan Shi Tong's tail, so that he can try and toss him towards the ground. With nowhere to plant his feet, this might not work well, but he can at least try to keep hold! Right?! It'll be big and dramatic...! ] Who's trying to beat you?!

[knowitowl]

[That... hadn't been expected. Glowing eyes widen in surprise at the annoying bug takes hold of his tail with surprising strength and actually flings him towards the ground. The spirit plunging and not able to right himself in time before he hits the ground with a deafening crash. A large cloud of dust rises into the air, along with an angered snarl.

In the next moment he shoots out of that cloud like a missle, completely unharmed and flying rapidly towards Rin, aiming to slam into him.]

EVERYONE!

[rashness]

I ain't! I'm sure a bunch've people ain't!

[ Seriously, what's with this bird- but that's not good, the guy just rebounded immediately. Admittedly, all the blood on Rin's clothing betrays that his own wounds have fully healed by now, but that's still impressive and more than a little scary. Particularly given he's in the air and- can't really adjust where he's falling.

So he's hit, basically ]

[knowitowl]

LIES!

[Wan Shi Tong screams bitterly, not at all inclined to believe what anyone says. There had been no one to help him then. Why would they start now? It is only another effort to control him. To get him to stop so that he won't hurt or destroy them, and then they would strike. They will only kill him again. And again. Until he bows to their authority, and he was not about to let that happen.

The spirit plows into Rin, essentially taking him for a ride as he then dives towards the ground again. Intending to slam him into the ground]

[rashness]

[ Ow.

Well he tries to defend himself, but there's totally going to be a crushing thing here as he may or may not have broken something a little. Still... he coughs blood out of his mouth and: ]

Ain't a lie!

[knowitowl]

[After slamming into the ground with Rin, Wan Shi Tong picked himself up and loomed over him. This one was resilient. Any normal human he would have killed several times over by now. This seemed to be a rather futile effort with this one.]

I have no reason to believe you.

[rashness]

But why shouldn't you? You're the one bein' a jerk and attacking me.

[ He says this through gritted teeth, willing himself to heal a little faster because he can't really feel one of his feet right now. Ow, ow... ]

[knowitowl]

It is the likes of you that started this.

[And then Wan Shi Tong brought his foot down, intending to pin Rin to the earth.]

And now I will end it.

[rashness]

I didn't start nothing... [ He growls this, but - when the talon comes down, Rin catches it. With Wan Shi Tong being as big and strong as he is, it's a bit of a struggles, but straining his demonically charged muscles, he knows he can do this. Probably. Despite being on his back and bleeding, hopefully he can toss the guy up as he makes to stand ]

[knowitowl]

[Wan Shi Tong just hissed in reply. Though there is some surprise as Rin manages to catch his talon and then shoves him. The large spirit tossed several feet away and landing with a thud. Getting himself up, he snarls angrily, but clearly didn't seem to be as eager to attack for it also seemed he had met his match.]

[rashness]

[ And Rin is... not exactly surprised he managed that, but he is a bit winded and a bit pissed off. He's panting as he is standing here, smoldering both figuratively and literally, given all the blue fire around him. He tries to reign himself in and then his eyes turn cat-like as he raises his voice: ]

I'm gonna be going now, got it?!

[knowitowl]

[The tainted spirit just growled in reply, before turning and proceeding to walk away. He would just find someone else to terrorize.]
