Rydia didn't believe Kain at all when it came to renouncing that confession, but aside from one comment, she hadn't specifically mentioned it. Nor had she referred to the experiment which had taken away Kain's ability to keep his thoughts to himself, thus prompting that confession in the first place. There was little point in doing so when it was likely to cause more harm than good.
