What: meeting up for training
Where: the barracks, backdated to 6am on the 18th
Summary: Turtle-sensei gives an ironic lesson on hasty decisions.
Rating: PG-13 for language

Six am. What masochistic fool even got up for training that early? Hell, who got up that early period if they didn't have to?

Him, apparently.

Isamu yawned, strolling toward the barracks half-awake. He was lucky he'd even managed a small breakfast, so coffee had been out of the question. Hopefully a good exercise would wake him up a bit more. He wasn't even sure what he was supposed to be wearing to this thing, and he still didn't have much in his inventory to choose from, so he arrived in jeans and a t-shirt which was possibly not the best idea. At least they weren't his ripped jeans.

"S'up, Sensei?" he greeted the turtle blearily as he came into view.

Raph's ready. He's been ready. Always ready. In fact, he's been mentally preparing himself since 3am this morning, by pacing back and fourth across the length of his room.

When 4am hit, he'd grown almost completely sure that he is so not ready for this. At all. He knows he'll be an awful teacher, hell, he'll probably wind up killing the guy by accident. Not to mention he hasn't gotten his sensei's permission. But there wasn't much he could do about that. And the last time he tried to teach someone...

He tries his best not to think about that. He was only eleven, after all, and this time he's flying solo. The same thing won't happen again.

When Isamu arrives, Raph's standing in the doorway to the barracks, his face hardened into a cold expression that betrays his lack of confidence. Coping mechanisms; he's the king of them.

The sky above them is threatening rain, but that won't change his game plan. No. He's ready, he can do this, and nothing's gonna stand in his way.

He doesn't waste his time with greetings.

"I'm gonna tell you again. This won't be easy." He crosses his arms over his chest and gives Isamu a stiffened glare. "You better not be wastin' my time."
