Arriving at the Facility

Who: All Draftees!
What: Arriving at the dorms
When: As of this morning
Where: The dorm facilities outside the enclosure
Summary: General shenanigans for people inside the dorms.
Rating: PG-13, probably.

[After traveling through the tunnels, draftees will arrive in the hotel-like dorm facilities. For information on what to expect, please read here! This is open comment log for anyone, so threadjack away! But remember, you can only enter someone's room if they let you.

If you haven't already, check out this post and get your character assigned to a team!]

SPECIAL NOTE!! - Since this didn't come up before (but should have, my bad), there are actually a minimum of 400 Third Party soldiers in each area as opposed to in total. This means there are 1200 of them over all.

Yeah. Think it's down that way. Are you looking for yours too?
awakenedchaos: (Default)

[personal profile] awakenedchaos 2010-07-26 04:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Affirmative. [Maybe she should've stayed there when she found it the first time... Wouldn't have to look for it again now if she did that. Gah.]

[identity profile] yellowthirteen.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 05:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Care to look with me? Probably won't be so boring if there's someone to talk to.

[There's no audible response, but she does nod, at least. Besides, the hallway's a lot more bearable for her when near someone she knows, and Thirteen definitely counts as someone like that by now.

...And searching together with someone should be more fun than looking around on her own and being unnerved by the surroundings, anyway.]

[identity profile] yellowthirteen.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
[He pauses as he looks at the various names on the doors as he moves down the hallway.]

Hopefully they'll let me inspect the aircraft I requested before I fly them into battle. It would really be dangerous if I had to conduct a full pre-flight check on the tarmac in the middle of a warzone.

[personal profile] awakenedchaos 2010-07-26 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Aircraft...? [He requested something like that...? Huh.]

[identity profile] yellowthirteen.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 07:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. If I can, I'll show you.

[He pauses, then looks over to a door. It's marked "David Jordan." He'll move over to it and open it.]

Ah, here's mine. You're more than welcome to come in, if you'd like.
awakenedchaos: (Default)

[personal profile] awakenedchaos 2010-07-26 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
...Understood. [She'll follow him once he goes inside, then.

...Though she's admittedly curious about that aircraft he mentioned right now. She's never actually seen anything like one before, after all.]

[identity profile] yellowthirteen.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
[He'll step inside the room, and the door will probably slide shut behind Nu. Huh. It's a lot like a large hotel room. Bathroom off to the side, bed, living area, closet... huh. Of course, right now, it's all in the same white drab as the hallway.

Then there's a door toward the back which catches his eye, unsure what it is. He'll start heading towards it.]

Can't say much for the decor. Hospital white doesn't do anything for me.

[personal profile] awakenedchaos 2010-07-26 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[That's something she can agree with, and easily no less. She can't stand the decor chosen for this place. Even if she keeps her own room fairly empty, at least there's some color there. This place is just... too reminiscent of something she'd seen in one of her dreams. It just feels too... empty, even though it isn't. It's too much like—]

...The Boundary. [While that's said quietly - she's mostly just muttering to herself - Thirteen should easily be able to hear it if he's paying attention.

...Though really, if anything, it's more like the Imaginary Space.]

[identity profile] yellowthirteen.livejournal.com 2010-07-27 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
[Given the silence of the facility, it's hard to miss Nu's muttering.]

A boundary? Something from your world?

[And with that he opens the door on the far side of the room. ...On the opposite side of the door is a massive hangar, not adorned in the pure white of the room or the hallway. And in it stood two massive machines... his SU-37 (http://gallery.top-aviation.net/albums/userpics/10009/AC4_SU37.jpg), done up in full Yellow Squadron colors, and a F-15E Strike Eagle (http://www.aereo.jor.br/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/f-15e-strike-eagle-2.jpg) in matching paint scheme. The only difference between them and the planes from his world was that the red circle and star Erusean crest was missing. Instead, it was replaced with an insignia of a white feathered Filial wing.]

...They're... really here.

[personal profile] awakenedchaos 2010-07-27 02:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[...Ah. He heard that, huh?]

...Affirmative. [Though she'd rather not explain what it is. The Boundary's a confusing place, to say the least.

She'll be following him to the door to the hangar, but once he opens it, she simply stops and stares at the machines. Even though she's not actually saying anything, it's rather obvious that she's fascinated by the planes.

...The look of curiosity on her face is almost a little reminiscent of that of a child.]

[identity profile] yellowthirteen.livejournal.com 2010-07-27 04:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[Thirteen slowly walks up to his trademark SU-37 and looks it over from the ground, somewhat awed. The details of this plane... they were nearly perfect. Hell, they might have been, the only flaws coming from Thirteen's own perceptions. It was almost like they had plucked it right out of the skies of Erusea.

He looked back over to Nu, who seemed similarly awed.]

Come on over and get a closer look if you like.

[personal profile] awakenedchaos 2010-07-27 08:39 pm (UTC)(link)
[Sure enough, the silver-haired Murakumo walks a little closer to the SU-37 as well, though she's stopping a little further away from it than Thirteen did.

...It's certainly an impressive-looking machine. Not like anything ν-13's seen before, at least.]

[identity profile] yellowthirteen.livejournal.com 2010-07-27 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
[He looks up into the landing gear wells briefly... then moves over to the scaffolding that'll let him climb up to the top of the plane near the cockpit. Once up there, he'll keep looking over the plane, a pleased smile crossing his lips.]

...They really kept their end of the bargain. Come on up here, if you'd like, Nu. You can get a better view of everything from here.
awakenedchaos: (Default)

[personal profile] awakenedchaos 2010-07-27 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
[Well, she might as well take him up on that offer, right? Though rather than climbing up, she's simply going to use her hovering ability to get up to the top of the plane. For her, it's a bit faster, after all.

...She won't actually land, though, instead hovering just barely high enough to not touch the plane. She's still being a bit... cautious about it, as impressive-looking as it may be.]

[identity profile] yellowthirteen.livejournal.com 2010-07-28 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
It's quite an amazing machine. Most people in the village probably would never think something like this could fly. Let alone fly faster than the speed of sound.

Boy, would they be in for a surprise, wouldn't you say?
awakenedchaos: (Default)

[personal profile] awakenedchaos 2010-07-29 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
[Sorry, Thirteen, but she's not going to answer that question - there's something else that caught her attention first.]

Faster than... the speed of sound...? [As flat as her voice may be, there's the slightest hint of what almost sounds a little like disbelief audible in it regardless. It's not too noticeable, but it's there.]

[identity profile] yellowthirteen.livejournal.com 2010-07-29 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. The Su-37 Terminator can fly at speeds exceeding 1,500 miles per hour. More than twice the speed of sound.

[The thought brings a proud smile to his face. Oh yeah. He's flown that fast.]
awakenedchaos: (Default)

[personal profile] awakenedchaos 2010-07-30 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
...I see. [That's... impressive. And something she'd definitely like to see for herself.]

And... you intend to use this machine... during the battle?

[identity profile] yellowthirteen.livejournal.com 2010-08-01 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
That's what it's built for. These types of aircraft are meant to be used in times of war. The Su-37 and the F-15 over there are both made to carry a variety of armaments meant for combat, usually a variety of missiles or bombs. Both are equipped with a .50 caliber vulcan gun for short range defense as well.

It may not be able to destroy a tank, but it'll destroy most vehicles and soft targets. Tanks are what the heavier ordinance is for anyway. Not that we'll have to deal with those anyway.
