What: Killing Third Party members and taking names

Summary: Mass-interaction for those out on the battlefield. Feel free to make team threads along with individual ones or however you wish. Action tags are fine here along with prose. For those plotting mischief, this is the place to do it.
Rating: R for the likely violence since killing will most definitely happen, but this is more for interactions during the battles.

[And early on the 26th everyone gets sent out. Thanks to Caesar's organization, most everyone has been placed in groups, even if some people plan on leaving their groups at some point. Check out this post for the details. If you haven't posted to this post and want your character on a team, please do so.]

Special note: Ignore the comments that said there would be 400, that has been retconned and we were told 1200 Third Party members from the start. Enjoy killing them off and taking names.

Special note 2: I asked Akai if any of the Third Party will be coming and dealing with their incapacitated allies, and they will. So assume that unless something is done to prevent this, those injured Third Party members may come back later healed and ready to attack again (though possibly not as effectively).

[Yuber was not assigned a team, because for one he didn't attend the planning session, and for another, Caesar knew better than to place the demon with others that he could not work with.

He isn't going to confine himself to any one area, in fact he plans on being in all of them during the week and concentrating on the areas that have the most to kill.

Expect to see a few demons with him, he has a few he can summon who are perfectly capable of flight to aid him, though he will only do that if the numbers of Third Party are high in an area, otherwise he'll just use magic to knock them out of the air and kill them on the ground.

And anyone who leaves TP people knocked out and not dead can expect that he will kill them if they are not off the battlefield.

But otherwise, anyone who has fought him before, or fought with him may notice that while he's still quite strong, there is something that seems off. He's not dodging quite as easily as he normally would for one thing. Not that it is preventing the demon from taking out many TP members, but it is causing him to get injured more readily and actually need the rune scrolls he requested.

Oh, and he's wearing the same black armor (http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/99049477/23591872) he wore last draft, which is at least helping keep his injuries down for all that his senses are at a human level rather than his normal inhumanly good senses. He also now casts a shadow and can be more easily tracked down than before.]

[Kain's mind has SNAPPED. He keeps running, farther and farther away from the party, losing himself in the chaos of battle. He wants to shove away what's just happened and actually manages to quite well, throwing himself into nothing but the fighting.]

[With a lack of focus and direction, and with no evil master feeding him orders, Kain is left to his own inability to make his own decisions at a time like this. He runs blindly, turning his spear to anything in his way just because it's an automatic reaction.]

[Eventually, he sees someone familiar in the distance. YUBER. Perfect.]

[Without hesitation, Kain charges forth to attempt impaling him...]

[ooc; Go wild with injuries before Golbez shows up, I plan on him hurting for a while after this. XD In fact, along with anything else that happens, let's make sure to definitely tear off a wing.]

[And well, Yuber may look like he's alone, but all of a sudden a few more demons appear. These demons are female with red hair, wings that are black and white and as large as the wings the Third Party has. Each one has a staff and is dressed in a somewhat revealing red and blue gothic looking dress. It is obvious these demons have a level of intelligence to match Yuber's just by looking at them.

Yuber quickly gives them orders to deal with any of the enemy above and ensure he is not disturbed. They fly off to follow his orders. Be glad he sent them away, Kain. They are quite powerful demons, despite the fact that here they are limited in their inability to summon also.

And his swords are out and the demon just barely gets out of the way in time to not be impaled. In fact, Kain will hear a satisfying sound of his spear hitting the metal of Yuber's armor, but it does not hurt the demon one bit.]

[Kain's eyes widen at the sight of the OTHER demons. HE can control them... he can SUMMON?! But that's not his concern right now. Possibly something he'll wonder about later.]

[Something strikes Kain as off, since he always had a harder time so much as hitting Yuber before... But he's not sure if he's imagining this. He's not thinking too clearly right now.]

[Kain lunges again with his spear for another attempt at hitting him.]

[The trio of demons is circling the sky above Yuber and Kain keeping an eye out for either more members of the Third Party, or their master giving orders to attack the squishy little human on the ground. They may well remind Kain of a group of scavengers waiting for their meal with the way they are circling above. But then, considering that demons gain sustenance from killing humans, the trio is having quite the feast here.

Yuber will be deflecting Kain's spear with one of his swords and then quickly attempting to push it away and attack with the second sword.

Kain might notice, Yuber's movements also aren't as quick as they usually are, he's still fast, but his speed isn't inhuman anymore, it's more like an agile human's.]

[It bothers Kain. He can't figure out whether he's off somehow himself, or it's Yuber, but something is different this time. Maybe it's those creepy demons flying around. He scowls at them for a brief moment... and that costs him, the one sword slamming into his side.]

[He silently groans, but then picks up his own pace, giving a couple of sharp thrusts toward the demon.]

[As Kain attempts to stab him again there are some flashes of light coming from above, quite a few flashes in fact. Yuber suddenly teleports away from where he is currently to go behind Kain.

Kain had better be careful because he's being attacked in two methods, by a falling body of a Third Party member whose wings are smoking from a lightning spell, which is why Yuber suddenly got out of the way, to avoid being hit by the dead man, and by Yuber behind him attempting to also stab at a wing.

From above Kain might be able to hear the sound of some feminine giggling, rather creepy sounding giggling, but it still is feminine laughter. It's obvious the trio in the air are enjoying themselves as much as Yuber is.]

[Kain tries to jump back from the incoming- body?! WHAT!?- but his effort is futile. It's not even a proper dragoon Jump, nor has he used that signature move this whole time- even though there are clearly airborne enemies he should be attacking. Unfortunately his own motion, and the momentum of that body slamming into him send him backward right into that blade at his wings...]

[There's a tremendous amount of pain and for a moment Kain thinks he's lost both wings just like last time. But no. There's just one wing broken, dangling off at a weird angle. A bunch of his feathers go flying all over the place.]

[This should unnerve him, but Kain doesn't care. He's beyond actually caring what'll happen to him, and he just wants to destroy the demon- along with himself if that's what it comes to. His expression is agonized, as he makes a feeble attempt to stab at Yuber.]

[It may be weird that Kain hasn't used his signature move, but it also has some sense to it. The dragoon's enemy is on the ground, there are three demons in the air, one demon on the ground who is capable of magical attacks, and the enemy.

And that really is a feeble attempt there, because even a human child could dodge that one and Yuber easily steps sideways to avoid it.] Truly, I should just tear the other off and let you die quickly. It would be so much more merciful, don't you think?

[Especially when that dangling wing has fallen off completely after just a little bit of motion from Kain, intensifying the pain once it's gone. The remaining wing is missing a few feathers as it is, too... At this point Kain can barely stand up. Broken in mind and body, he isn't going to last much longer.]

[He looks his hated enemy in the eye... and surprisingly nods. Yes, Yuber. This time he's crazy enough to want you to end it. But not without more fighting, or whatever is left in him to fight. He raises his spear to indicate his intent. Except the only thing keeping him going is that crazy battle adrenaline, but the moment it leaves, there's no way he'll be able to walk away from this. Kain's next attempt to stab Yuber is even less coordinated than the last. He's just stumbling and half-falling over by now...]

[The demon is just grinning at the idea of being able to kill the idiotic dragoon yet again. But then he also knows from personal experience just how it is to deal with an injury like that, and truly, it is indeed more merciful to kill Kain now.

It may seem strange, with Yuber being a demon and all, but he is definitely one for quick, clean kills whenever possible. In death, suffering will end, and in this horrid place, the dead will come back anyhow.

But really, if you are going to put up a fight Kain, try to do better. Yuber could likely dodge this attempt while asleep, it is that bad. A simple sidestep has him away from the spear and now the demon is attempting to slice off the second wing with a quick clean blow to end it quickly for the dragoon.] Consider it an honor that I will end your suffering quickly.

[Unfortunately for Yuber (and for Kain, to a certain extent) some of the members of Kain's party are all too aware of his practically suicidal tendencies. Just as the blade is starting to swing, a deep voice bellows out from nearby.]

Firaga!

[And a gigantic fireball is flying straight towards Yuber. Whether he leaps back, teleports out of the way, or what have you, when he turns to see the one responsible, a huge man clad completely in black armor is striding forward, calmly and coolly advancing on the duelers.]

[Yuber almost wants to laugh at the idea of attacking a demon with fire. Demons can't be damaged by fire, or so this one thinks. Of course that was one thing the demon forgot to test if it had changed due to the temporary annoyances from being kidnapped until recently.

Still, this is lucky for Kain, because no matter what happened, he would have to stop attacking Kain to dodge the fire. A demon did have immunity, but it was always good to try and shield as much as possible, which he did do.

And it would appear that was one thing that was also affected, because damn if that didn't hurt a lot. Thankfully the demon's own black armor shielded from the worst so he was able to try and pretend that nothing happened and he was indeed immune to it. Still, he definitely did not escape unscathed from that.

While the demon deals with that, he's going to give orders to the three female demons in the air to attack the one who just attacked him, and they will start casting lightning spells, when they finish casting, quite a few bolts of lightning will be coming Golbez's way (about 10 bolts from each spell, three demons, each spell normally does max 900 damage depending on magic resistance in game, so somewhere between thundara and thundaga in power, but more spiffy looking, without power cap they have homing abilities and are very hard to dodge)

And Yuber will be using a healing rune scroll while his demons keep Golbez busy.]]

[Unlike Yuber, ν-13 was assigned to a team... but that's not to say she's all too happy about having to fight alongside others. Far from it, actually; with how her Drive works, fighting together with others can be problematic, to say the least.

By the third day, she's just about had enough of attempting to work together with a large group - later in the day, in fact, she's going to run off on her own... or, in less polite words, she's ditching her team.

From then on, it's really only a matter of time until she runs into the demon, and more likely than not, it'll happen sooner rather than later. It's high time that she checked how he's holding up, after all, meaning she'll be actively looking for him after wandering off from her team.

When the Murakumo finally does spot him, rather than actually move toward him or say something, she'll attempt to stay out of his sight for the time being, a slight distance away from him. She'll just... watch for a little while, mostly to see how he's holding up, before doing anything else.

...Of course, considering both her visor and the lights on her armor emit colored light - red and green, respectively - he should easily be able to spot her if he looks around, even if she is trying to stay out of sight.]

[She might not recognize him at first, with him requesting the black armor he used to use, he resembles both Kain and Golbez in a way. Interestingly enough, when he's wearing the armor, he prefers his hair loose which makes it harder to recognize him offhand.

But knowing Nu, she probably won't have a hard time figuring out which black armored person he is, since he will have demons nearby assisting him. And she'll find him and three female demons fighting a few Third Party members. The female demons also have wings, so they are working on knocking the enemy out of the air and into Yuber's range so he doesn't have to use magic as much.

The demons all seem to be holding up find. Nu will be able to tell that heavy plate mail does not impede Yuber's fast and fluid movements too much, he's just not exactly moving any faster than what she's seen in the barrier. It's obvious he's just as used to fighting that way as he is in the clothing he normally is seen in, but the effects of his kidnapping are likely affecting his speed and reflexes to some degree still. Not enough that he's having any obvious problems.

Once the four of them have dealt with the small group of TP members, Yuber will look around for more enemy and notice Nu then. She's at least easy enough for him to recognize and to know is not a danger in the least bit, unlike some of his supposed "allies". He'll give the demons orders to watch the skies for more enemy coming and go over to see Nu since he's sure she's coming to check on him.]

[She doesn't recognize him right away, but the demons do serve as a clue to his identity, at least. He did mention his ability to summon when they talked back at the quarters, after all.

...Though admittedly, she's... not entirely sure if she approves of his choice of summons. That aside, however, it looks like he's doing fine, which is definitely reassuring for her.

Once he notices her, ν-13 simply greets him with a small smile. She doesn't do anything else yet - she doesn't move from her spot, nor does she speak up. Talking can wait until he's a little closer. One thing is noticeable about her, however; despite all the fighting going on, she doesn't seem to be visibly injured at all. Even her armor doesn't seem to have sustained any damage beyond a few minor scratches. It's... a bit strange, frankly.]

[Her armor may look undamaged, but his is obviously not. It's quite old and looks like it's been through many battles though still in overall good shape, and that will be easily seen once he gets close enough.]

So you finally ditched those humans you were with. Will you be fighting with me then?

[Yeah, close-up, that's... rather difficult to miss. And warrants a little bit of concern from the Murakumo, but she's doing a good job at hiding that fact right now.]

Hmm... If you're okay with it~ [Fighting together with just him should be less troublesome than with a moderately sized group, that's for sure.

...Though she could certainly do without his summoned demons. Not that she's saying that out loud for the time being.]

[That's good, but it's at least easily explained. If she knows anything about armor, there's plenty of evidence to the fact that this armor is centuries old.]

I'd find it quite entertaining. I'll have my demons scout farther afield then. [Because that makes sense of course. Nu is a ranged fighter mostly, his ranged attacks are limited overall, so the demons were helpful to get the enemy out of the air, and also to warn of incoming enemy in case his reduced to human level reflexes missed any signs.

And he does give the orders to them, they go off in different directions to scout the area.]

[Which is why she's not bothering to bring it up. It still warrants some concern, but not enough to mention it.

She won't speak up again until the demons leave, though, instead opting to watch them for a moment. Once they fly off, though...]

...Couldn't you use something different as scouts? [That's not a slight hint of annoyance in her voice. Really. It's not.

...Okay, so maybe she does sound ever so slightly annoyed. It's... probably nothing, though.]

[He's confused at first as to why she would even sound annoyed, then he realizes, the demons are female. Could that be a bit of jealousy perhaps?]

I could if I want to have less effective scouts. They are the only type I can call upon who can fly like the enemy can. On this terrain and with these enemies, they are the best.

[Well... damn it. She'd really rather have them gone, but relying on the assistance of something less effective instead is... likely not a particularly good idea. It's a little too risky.]

Are you sure you can't call on anything just as effective as these? [An alternative would be nice, but if there isn't... she'll deal with it. Hopefully, anyway.

...Hmm.]

[Jealous much? Hey, at least he's sending them away to have time alone with you.]

I'm quite sure. That type of demon is the only one that comes close to my level of power and intelligence. [He's going to smirk, and she will be able to see that much even with all that armor.] Are you jealous of them or something?

[Typical male thinking of course, he thinks the fact that Nu is jealous is a good thing.]

[... ... ...What. Did he seriously just ask if she's jealous of—

...What.

... ... ... ]

[It actually takes a moment before she says something in response to that, but when she does, her tone is... suspiciously sweet.]

No way. Why would I be jealous of them? Geez...

[She just doesn't like them. That's all.

Though... dislike and jealousy aren't mutually exclusive, are they?]
