What: Killing Third Party members and taking names

Summary: Mass-interaction for those out on the battlefield. Feel free to make team threads along with individual ones or however you wish. Action tags are fine here along with prose. For those plotting mischief, this is the place to do it.
Rating: R for the likely violence since killing will most definitely happen, but this is more for interactions during the battles.

[And early on the 26th everyone gets sent out. Thanks to Caesar's organization, most everyone has been placed in groups, even if some people plan on leaving their groups at some point. Check out this post for the details. If you haven't posted to this post and want your character on a team, please do so.]

Special note: Ignore the comments that said there would be 400, that has been retconned and we were told 1200 Third Party members from the start. Enjoy killing them off and taking names.

Special note 2: I asked Akai if any of the Third Party will be coming and dealing with their incapacitated allies, and they will. So assume that unless something is done to prevent this, those injured Third Party members may come back later healed and ready to attack again (though possibly not as effectively).

Individual - Litchi - Team D

[Litchi's sticking as close to her teammates as possible. She might not be the fastest fighter -- certainly not capable of keeping up with the jets, speedy hedgehogs, and racers in her team -- but she's really pulling out all the stops to make sure her teammates stay safe.

This is the power of the Boundary.

Once her bo staff mows through a solid line of Third Party soldiers like so many straws, and once the glaring blaze of an All Green attack has died down, Litchi pauses for a breath. Time to see if everyone else is still alright...

...even if her body is beginning to really ache.]

[Even racing at high speeds, Goroh can tell when one of his teammates aren't doing so hot. After taking another pass towards his fellow fighters, he can tell Litchi ain't doing quite as well as she was before. Well, it's time to go into action. Turning on his reverse thrusters to come to a stop, Goroh readies himself. The hood comes off above him and once the car comes to a complete stop, he's sent flying forward. He uses the momentum to land on one TP and cleanly cut another one in two.]

Thought maybe you could use a hand, Litchi. [Sheathing his sword, he pulls out a remote. The Stingray closes the hood and the guns on top enter into turret mode.]

[Litchi turns quickly to glance over in Goroh's direction, wobbling just a little as a wave of dizziness washes over her. She can feel Lao Jiu straining to keep the power at the right amount. Getting a deep breath and shaking her head to clear the fuzz around the corners of her vision, she gives Goroh a small nod.]

Thank you, Mr. Goroh. Honestly, I'm doing alright, but I would certainly appreciate some help.

[He glances back at her, noticing that wobble there. He shakes his head.]

You're the gullible one here, not me. You need a break.

[She frowns at the accusation of gullibility, but sighs and turns away again stubbornly.]

I can handle this. Really. I just needed a bit of a breather is all.

[He only says it because it's true.]

Over by the Stingray. It'll give us some cover. [And there's supplies inside.]

[It is, and she knows it, but it's hard to admit to.]

Mr. Goroh... Really, I'm alright. [But she's still slowly coming over as suggested anyway. Her vision is getting far too blurry.]

[From up above, the roar of the Su-37's engines can be heard as it streaks down from the sky like a falcon. As it streaks toward the ground, it releases a large bomb from its undercarriage; and then it promptly pulls up and levels out. It'll impact not terribly far from Litchi's location, but more than far enough that she'll be perfectly safe from any damage.

His voice will ring out over the journal radio then.]

Sorry for the fireworks; enemy column was heading east to flank Group E. You doing okay down there, Litchi?

[Thank god for journal communication. Litchi can't help a small smile, seeing the plane land safely.]

Y-yes, everything is just fine. Just a little dizzy is all... it'll pass in a moment.

[Thirteen sounds a little concerned as his Su-37 taxied along the road in landing.]

Need to get this thing rearmed. Why don't you head back to the safe zone and get a little bit of rest? The area looks sanitized based on radar signatures.

[Her forced smile is probably audible.] No, no, really, I'm fine. Besides, I'm not leaving so long as everyone else is still here.

...Okay, then why not come back to the highway and watch my back while I get the Terminator rearmed? I'm a sitting duck on the ground.

[Which is true, though the likelihood of him being attacked on the ground is very low.]

[Well, that got her, alright. Keeping her friends safe takes ultimate priority.]

I can certainly do that. Just give me a moment to catch up, alright?

[Being another member of the team on foot - Raine has a small flying vehicle of her own when it comes to traveling the longer distances, and has brought extra in case the other grounded people of the group needed them - but in any case, she can only flight and heal from the ground at this point. She's been focusing on support magic to strengthen attack and defense, casting them on the fellow team members when needed.]

Are you getting too tired?

[Litchi glances over at her teammate with an apologetic smile. All of this... really would take too long to explain. Especially that the damage done to herself isn't exactly curable (at least as far as she's found). Still... if the toll from using her power is beginning to show on her, she'll have to slow down for a moment anyhow.]

I'll be alright in just a moment. Sorry if I worried you.

[Trying to steer the concern away from herself, Litchi adds,] What about you? Are you doing okay?

[She's aware that everyone has different abilities, but her main focus is making sure that her teammates are not overextending themselves. While defending against attacks. Being at full power does help in any case.]

I'm fine. Are you certain you don't need a spell? It should lift your weariness, in any case.

[Guilt.] Ah-- Well, I suppose I could use an energy boost. If it's no trouble, of course.

It's no trouble at all. [And since they have a few moments before the next wave of attackers arrive, she'll lift her staff and begin her casting. If the soft glow of the spell has any effect on Litchi, she should at least feel somewhat refreshed, if it does nothing for the wounds.] Here... first aid.

[The burning ache in her muscles subsiding, Litchi gives her companion a smile. She's still hearing that bizarre echoing, but this is still an improvement.]

[Much like Litchi, ν-13 is among the slower fighters on the team - as useful as Act Parser may be, it's definitely not enough to keep up with the vehicles of the others... or ridiculously fast hedgehogs. That hardly seems to be hindering her at all, however.

Though she's primarily focusing on taking out members of the Third Party at long-range using her Sword Summoner ability, every once in a while, rather than staying at a distance, she dashes over to one of the soldiers, grabbing them and using her eight swords to stab them, following it up with a rather painful-looking combo ending with her smashing the poor soldier into the ground using one of her drive blades.

Right now would be one such instance where she's doing this - and the body of the Third Party soldier the Murakumo unit had chosen as her unfortunate target goes crashing into the ground near Litchi.

...That one probably won't be getting up.]

[Hearing the body crash into the ground behind her, Litchi jolts into action before she's even turned to look. Mantenbou is planted on the ground and she uses it as leverage for a leap out of the way before shifting it into its doll form for a Thirteen Orphans attack.

Mantenbou, realizing the situation a shade of a moment before its owner, just steps over Nu's kill and heads over to the next nearest soldier to pummel. Litchi winces inwardly at her mistake, and after a moment's pause, takes a few steps back and further out of the way of Nu's swords.

The power of a Murakumo unit... truly is terrifying. No wonder Kokonoe had high hopes for the eleventh.

The stunned silence evaporates quickly, though. Much more important things at hand now. Sending Mantenbou around in a wide arc to guard the Murakumo's right side, she shouts:]

Nu! On your left!

[Thanks to Litchi's warning, ν-13 reacts surprisingly quickly - within mere moments, she brings up her swords to block an attack by a soldier to the left of the duo. Immediately afterward, the Murakumo uses the very same swords that had just acted as a shield of sorts to launch them at the soldier...

Rather than follow this with another attack, however, she'll be using Act Parser to dash at the Third Party member, briefly disappear from sight, then reappear behind him, grabbing his wings once she does so. If Litchi happens to be looking at the girl, she may notice an uncharacteristically cruel smile very briefly appearing on her face as she begins to say a single word.]

Perish! [And with a single motion, she tears the soldier's wings off.

...Is it normal for a girl to giggle after killing someone? Because that's what she seems to be doing while the soldier's lifeless body is falling to the ground, oddly enough...]

[Yeah, that's... that's pretty worrying. Litchi can't help a small shiver that runs down her spine, hearing that giggle. She's always known exactly what the Murakumo units were, but to see a living weapon in motion really is a terrifying sight. Especially knowing the damage done in Ikaruga...

Mantenbou floats back to Litchi's side now that there aren't any soldiers approaching. Unconsciously, she keeps the staff in front of her as a possible shield.]

Y-you aren't injured at all, are you, Nu?

[She highly, highly doubts it, but she'll still ask. Doctorly instincts and all.]

[In response to the question, the Murakumo looks at Litchi briefly before responding. When she does, her tone is as flat and emotionless as always - a rather large contrast compared to the almost playful giggling just now.]

Assessing current damage levels... Damage levels negligible. [Indeed, despite the fact she's been fighting for some time now, she barely seems to be injured at all. At the very least, the girl doesn't seem to have any visible wounds right now - not even a scratch.

...It's a little strange, frankly. Shouldn't someone who's been out fighting for a while at least have sustained some injuries by now...?]

Ah... yes, I'm glad to hear it.

[Truly the power of a Murakumo indeed. Either nobody has gotten close enough, or there's some sort of healing effect going on. At least she figures she can assume that much; even Tager had a self-restoring system built in, so the Murakumo units must have as well.

Definitely, definitely glad Nu is on their side.]
