What: Killing Third Party members and taking names
When: 7/26 - 7/31
Where: Sirry Crags
Summary: Mass-interaction for those out on the battlefield. Feel free to make team threads along with individual ones or however you wish. Action tags are fine here along with prose. For those plotting mischief, this is the place to do it.
Rating: R for the likely violence since killing will most definitely happen, but this is more for interactions during the battles.

[And early on the 26th everyone gets sent out. Thanks to Caesar's organization, most everyone has been placed in groups, even if some people plan on leaving their groups at some point. Check out this post for the details. If you haven't posted to this post and want your character on a team, please do so.]

Special note: Ignore the comments that said there would be 400, that has been retconned and we were told 1200 Third Party members from the start. Enjoy killing them off and taking names.

Special note 2: I asked Akai if any of the Third Party will be coming and dealing with their incapacitated allies, and they will. So assume that unless something is done to prevent this, those injured Third Party members may come back later healed and ready to attack again (though possibly not as effectively).

We do. The Malnosso's purpose in sending us here was to completely rid the area of these jerks. We will not be sent back to the village until we do so.

Look, I don't like it, either. In most cases, I'd say that killing the enemy means losing them as a valuable resource. But we can't get anything out of these guys - they're of no use to us. The fact is that if we don't do something about these guys first, they'll be more than willing to get rid of us. For the sake of all the villagers here, those who want to be here and those who don't, I can't let that happen.

They're people too! The have lives! We don't have to kill them we just have to stop them!

The Malnosso aren't stupid. They aren't going to settle for something like that.

We don't know anything about these guys, but they made their choice. They chose to attack us, and we have no choice but to defend ourselves. If we don't, we're dead.

But it could the same thing for them! They they just don't know anything about us and saw us as a threat! Maybe if we could talk to them we could end this peacefully.

We've fought these guys two times before - do you think that hasn't been tried? They won't speak to us.

Maybe they can't understand our language, we could try something else! There is always another way besides killing.

If there was, I'd have thought of it by now. Trust me. [He shakes his head.] If you can't bring yourself to kill anyone, that's fine. But remember that those you leave behind are only going to come back for more, and that will put your allies in further danger.

Maybe they'd be grateful that we showed them kindness.

And if they aren't?

Then we'll find another way.

[And here comes the other strategist, frowning at the two.]

Perhaps Sir Vash should be told what we discovered in this rest stop, Caesar.

[It comes across as something stronger than a suggestion.]

[Caesar frowns, too. Yeah, thanks for the hint, bro. He motions toward the building.]

If you recall, we were told of the possibility that there might be survivors here. If the mess inside is anything to go by, it seems that this was true, at least at one point in time. The people here before these jerks took over were tourists. I can't imagine they were the particularly violent type, either.

[Vash's look goes hard. He gets what you're hinting at.] If you can believe what they told us.

Would you rather not believe it and deny the idea that there may be other victims involved? Then who is the one passing judgment on what you do not know?

Nothing else they've told us about this place has proven to be wrong. There would be no reason for lying about something like that, either. But if we deny it, even if it's only a possibility, more innocent people may die. Is that okay?

No, it's not okay. Even so, killing and violence never solves anything.

And I'm sorry if I'm having trouble believe the people who said they wouldn't send me here; because I told I didn't want to come because I would not kill for them. [He adds that second part because he means it. He will not kill. He's also a little tired, stressed, and depressed beyond his normal limits.]

Then don't kill for them. You are free to remain here and not lift your weapon again. Maintaining that attitude and arguing with others on the battlefield simply prolongs the danger they are exposed to.

Right. [Caesar takes a breath.] Stay here. You could even be our guard, if you like. Keep us out of trouble.

[...not that they particularly needed one. But at least he'd be doing something.]

There are people out there, they're dying! [And he cannot ignore that.]

And they will be revived outside of the battlefield and collected by their brethren.

Like I said, I don't like it, either. Your points are valid, but if we continue to waste our time like this, it won't take much for those guys to overwhelm us. I don't know what else to tell you.

[Very angrily at Albert.] Just because they revive again doesn't give us the right to kill them! What if it's not the same for them?! What if they don't revive!? And if they do, they'll lose something! They could lose a part of themselves!

You misunderstand, Sir Vash; I am not saying this to comfort or placate you. Once they are revived, they will rearm themselves and attack another settlement. They initiate the fight knowing full and well that they may die, and they use the cycle of life and death in this world to their advantage.

Argue for nonviolence all you wish, but it doesn't change the fact that they will kill us without hesitation. And they have no intention of listening to us out here. Their invasion of Luceti proved that all too well.

We're not asking you to change your opinions, but you must realize that it's inevitable. He's not wrong. The only way to protect the others is if we fight. [He looks over to Albert. He doesn't care that he stepped in anymore, but it has proven they're going nowhere with this. Caesar decides to attempt to wrap this up.]

You're free to do as you please, but stay out of the way of the others. There are people out there who won't think twice about having to subdue you in your efforts to help the enemy, and that's one of the last things we need. Understand?

[And, like Albert earlier, that's a bit stronger than a suggestion.]

[It's the same thing over and over again.] Maybe we do need to fight to protect others right now, but it won't end it. It will just keep growing. Killing is not the answer.

I know they won't. [Not that knowing that will stop him. He will head back out into the fray when the talking is done, maybe not to find his group, but to try to subdue more of the fighters as long as he knows you guys are safe here.]
