Summary: The next experiment begins, Naoki takes a turn for the crazy worst—there are too many humans here, after all, and obviously this needs to be fixed. Meanwhile, Isamu shoulders the role of ‘demi-fiend’.
Rating: PG-13

[Why had he been there? He didn’t remember now—all he knew was that there was too much noise, too many people, he should’ve taken care of them long ago. But they’re our friends, aren’t they? Of course not. It’d all been a trick, an excellently perfected plan. Demons didn’t make friends, after all. They didn’t have the capacity, and it was a stupid thought.

Calmly, he rolls his shoulders, extends his arms to crack his knuckles. His eyes flicker bloody red, but his expression is unchanging as he heads through the village, letting both hands swing down to his sides. He’d waited a long time. Nobody was going to expect more so soon, it would be best to strike while the iron was hot.

This in mind, a tiny chuckle rose as he smiles in a way that’s unlike Naoki at all—and keeps walking.]

Going to have to go with Thursday, but tagging now anyway just in case

[After getting into a few... arguments... maybe fights... the past few days, you'd expect she's stay at home and recuperate. Luckily enough, she still has her water rune, so healing herself repeatedly wasn't a problem. What was a problem, however, was realizing that for some reason, the notes she remembered bringing from Greenhill Academy were missing, and so was her bookbag. It wasn't in the (by this time, already-fixed) apartment, and she didn't remember bringing it anywhere else.

So yes, Ted was just planning on heading back to her apartment, the new bookbag and some other paraphernalia in tow, and trying not to think so much on the weirdness of this week. It was going to blow over soon. She's sure of it.]

[Naoki's less inclined to wait and see, by this point. The method of attacking quicker has come to him after being interfered with too frequently. His mouth twitches at the thought of said person doing the interfering, and one hand curls at his side, halfway into a fist. It's around this time red eyes flick, spotting Ted at a bit of a distance, and he pauses.

The familiarity he shrugs aside; he doesn't know any girl who looks like that, after all. It does matter--we shouldn't-- He shifts his arms, fire crackling down along his arms to spring up in his palms. Take care of this quickly before anyone decides to stick their nose in again, he thinks.]

[Ted pauses in her steps, suddenly feeling uneasy. Maybe it's because of living too lo--- No, what was she thinking? Woman's intuition? Something was definitely wrong though, and she looks around warily, trying to figure out if she was just being paranoid.]

Ah. Missed. [Naoki frowns and then calls up some more fire in his palms.]

[Spotting you.] Naoki, what do you think you're doing?!

[Pausing now. Narrowing his eyes at her suspiciously.] How do you know my name?

How do I---- [Pause. Wait. Damn it, seriously?! How could you forget?] Of course I know you, you idiot. It's Ted, remember?

[Blink. Fire dying now. And his reaction is probably more like the usual Naoki than he realises.] Ted?

[Oh, good, that's the Naoki she remembers.] Yeah, it's me. What's gotten into you all of a sudden?

...You're a girl. [He's still stuck on that, excuse him, he'll be crazy again in a few minutes.]

[... WHAT.] Of course I'm a girl! What's wrong with you?! [Is he saying she doesn't look like one after all these months?]

[Naoki's--almost tempted to laugh, for a minute. What's with that? At this thought, his expression dips back into that odd almost-blankness.] Nothing's wrong with me. [And...he's beginning to walk now. Lost all interest in trying to kill you now, Ted.]

[That's some kind of BS you're telling her, Naoki. Ted quickly goes after him, frowning.] Naoki! Wait up.

[Naoki swings red eyes over to her, not slowing his walk.] What is it? Unless you're going to help me, you shouldn't come with me.

I'm helping you, all right. You're acting really strange. [Was this part of the experiment?]

Oh? [He quirks an odd smile.] Are you really going to help me? [That latter part? Ignored.]

[She gives him a wary look.] In my own way, yes.

[That gets a small chuckle.] I'd rather you help me in the way I want.
