What: A marriage proposal... or at least, that was the intention.
When: The afternoon of the 25th
Where: By the lake
Summary: Regal's been wanting to do this for a long time now. Unfortunately, fate has other plans for them.
Rating: Shouldn't be more than PG.
[He'd been planning this for days. After a quick stop by the smithy to pick up the ring he'd had Sokka make for him, Regal stopped by Good Spirits to pick up a bottle of champagne, then the grocery store to get some food for a fancy picnic. He hadn't told Gelda what he had in mind, just that he thought they should take advantage of this nice weather after that string of rainy days to have a picnic-- something he knew she wouldn't object to. And what better place than the lake, especially now that the leaves were starting to change colors?
Once he's got everything organized in the picnic basket (and the ring tucked safely in his pocket), he'll go upstairs to see if Gelda is ready to go yet.]
