Hermione just looked at Ron pleadingly. She didn't think at this point that anything was going to change his mind and she couldn't help thinking that all this arguing was going to make things worse. But what could she say that would help? How could she explain to Ron what it was about Draco that made her and Harry trust him this time around when nothing else was working to change his mind? What could be said that hadn't already?
For the first time in a very long time, maybe even in her life, Hermione was at a loss for words. She simply looked at Ron, the heartache in her eyes clear, at least to her. She didn't want to row with him, didn't want to stop talking to him again. But with the way everything was going... how could they keep civil?
...And things had been going so nicely recently, too.
With a slightly choked sound coming from her, she rushed for the door. If no one stopped her, she'd be out like a flash and running out of the house. She didn't want to be there when she finally broke down over this.
Ron linefaces because he thinks it should be over already?
