A simple, spartan back-flip brought her out of that kick's range. She held the axe with both fists and planted it cross-wise against the ground as she vaulted backwards. A heavy breath left her lungs as she rights herself. "That answers my question about whether there's any of you left in there, I guess."

But Buffy knew that it couldn't last, this inhuman version of Giles. But this experiment has lasted longer than expected already. Would going for the dust really be easier?
