[The morning came much like any others, the sun inauspiciously shining in through Adell's window.  He was still in bed, asleep, resting happily and calmly.  Though he wasn't alone...]

Because you loved him from before the experiment started. That was real, but everything else was fa-... It was just the product of the experiment.

[She was going to say fake. But the word tasted like a lie in her mouth so she changed it and focused on them towards her rather than the other way around. She's their android, a "friend", nothing more, nothing less and she's happy with that role. She has no place in romantic dates or snuggling times, those belong only to them.]

But Luka hesitating on the word "Fake" is what bothers him. She's right. The feelings were very real. But what he still couldn't get over was how little change he felt. He hadn't realized it at all until now, when Luka's actions prompted him to realize his love was platonic again.

But it'd be a lie to say he didn't enjoy all of the things the three of them did together that whole week.]

[...Hm. She considers. Well her and Luka were out, Adell called them - thinking back their plan after that was bold, and the tree thing was weird, but most of the other things felt par the course after the initial boldness. She taps a finger on her cheeks and then looks over at Adell]

...The events may be clear, but there's something else that needs to be addressed. You still didn't explain why you seemed so terrified.

If it was just an experiment and this happened... did you really think we'd be upset with you about it? No. None of this was your fault, and don't think we're going to be mad at you.

You know Charle and I aren't like that.

[But that's all she is and thus she needs to get out of there. They won't kick her out? Excellent, let's see how long that keeps up. But even if they don't, she does. He can't tell with her sometimes, but he doesn't lean against the door anymore, instead shifting to the wall next to it. He's going to trust Luka not to bolt on this one.]

[She can think of a long list, but she really doesn't want to sing them. She doesn't want to stay or talk. There's nothing to talk about or consider, if anything that's what they should understand... Oh, maybe she can sing something after all.]

["Just Be Friends", huh? Well, her performance doesn't leave much to be desired, but the content of the song is what he's paying attention to.

Hm... from the heart, huh? Well, he can't really decide if Luka's being honest or being snide, but he gives her the benefit of the doubt.

The song is a breakup song, that much is obvious. But it was about good times, now being over and the bond had faded. Makes sense enough, but it doesn't gel with the fear she was displaying. She had slept with him before... which was something she mercilessly teased him about several times in the past. So that's probably not bothering her. And himself and Charle hadn't been mad in the slightest... Charle even seemed to encourage the idea that it was okay. So whatever the issue was... it was something that was simply bothering her.

What it was, he still couldn't say. He could only venture to guess she was extremely embarrassed, or more likely, ashamed of the event. ...Maybe because she enjoyed it while it was happening? Still... they both did too, and they didn't feel that way.

And this is where something key strikes him, something he had to always remind himself. Charle's human, he's a demon, but for all intents thinks like a human. Luka's not. Given Luka's past evasive tendencies when things got confusing for her... maybe she couldn't come to grips with the idea of being truly in love.

...Adell exhales as Luka finishes her song. He's not really sure how to deal with this right now. Luka's being really defensive and stubborn, like how she normally gets when things like this happen, so it limits his options.]

[the meaning is totally lost on Charle. She works with intuition, not logical reasoning. Right now though, listening to the lyrics and melody, she tries to get a feel for Luka's emotions. there is a concern here... Hm]
