Who: Everyone!
What: New Feather Party
When: Saturday Evening
Where: Rec Centre
Summary: Come one, come all! It's time for this cycle's New Feather Party!
Rating: PG -- to be changed in case of drunken shenanigans! Which are encouraged but it's a BYOB kinda deal. XD

[ooc: Alright everybody, here's how it works! Comment spam is the name of the game here and yes, my inbox can handle it! First comment is for anyone who's volunteered to help out and there's a lots of people so Selphie has already split everybody up into groups. aka: feel free to make your own groups. After that, there's just going to be general partyness going on! Threadjacking is more than encounraged (hell, it's expected and demanded) and there you have it! The grumps can come btw, they just can't grump at the party! xD]

The party was all set up and ready to go. The food had been delivered, the rec centre was thoroughly decorated and cheerful with its spring colours and Selphie was just hanging around waiting for the guests to arrive. Her small army of helpers had been hard at work since the day before and it hardened the perky brunette's resolve to make this one of the best parties she's ever thrown. A small part of her wished that her other friends from home and those who had left this place could be here to enjoy the party with everyone here. Even then, a larger part of her knows that it's better that they're not here.

Regardless, Selphie goes about getting this latest New Feather party arranged with every ounce of cheer and assuring those new people that not every people associated with Luceti is crazy. Giving them a welcoming environment to get to know some of their fellow residents is better than wondering what's going to happen next. Besides, it could help those shy people make some friends or get over their anxieties about social gatherings. Overall, Selphie felt that these parties were worth the hard work and would do them as many times as necessary.

[Lucy is peering at that air hockey table with great interest.]

What's that used for?

[identity profile] hazelrink.livejournal.com 2011-03-19 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Um. It's a game... I think. Once you turn it on, you try to shoot a disc in the other person's goal.

[She's never actually used one, but she's heard of them.]

[identity profile] queenly-valiant.livejournal.com 2011-03-19 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Hm. So you hit them with the little paddles?

[identity profile] hazelrink.livejournal.com 2011-03-20 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
That's right. [With a little nod, even]

[identity profile] hazelrink.livejournal.com 2011-03-21 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Mm. Okay! [And... what she suspects is an on switch. There. Some lights flash, but mostly the little air jets start. So, taking the puck - which was on her side - out of the holder, she sets it on the table and gets her paddle]

Ready?

[identity profile] queenly-valiant.livejournal.com 2011-03-22 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
[Lucy is rather surprised at the air, but recovers quickly and grabs her own paddle.]

I am. Let's start!

[She. . .probably isn't going to be very good at this.]

[identity profile] hazelrink.livejournal.com 2011-03-23 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
[to be fair, neither is Charlotte. Her hit is poorly aimed and weak, but a disc is coming Lucy's way]

Go!

[identity profile] queenly-valiant.livejournal.com 2011-03-23 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Err, right--

[After a few false starts (it's fortunate that the thing wasn't moving faster), Lucy finally manages to hit the disc. It ricochets a few times off the sides of the table, and finally makes its slow meandering way over to Charlotte's side.]

[identity profile] hazelrink.livejournal.com 2011-03-28 08:01 pm (UTC)(link)
[Okay swing and- okay there's a miss- hit! this one, hit harder, makes one awkward wall bounce before getting its momentum slowed closer to the middle between them - but more on Lucy's side than Charle's]

[identity profile] queenly-valiant.livejournal.com 2011-03-28 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)
[She reaches over, stretching her arm out to hit the puck, though said arm is too short to really make much of an impact. But at least now the disc is sliding leisurely toward Charlotte.]

[identity profile] hazelrink.livejournal.com 2011-03-30 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
[And... hit back with a lot of force! This one is going fast and hard but it's - well there's no aim. Even if Lucy misses it it'll probably hit the back wall and bounce back. And then probably hit Charle's back wall and hit back again]

[identity profile] queenly-valiant.livejournal.com 2011-03-31 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
[She hits it back with a moderate amount of force in a relatively straight line towards Charle's goal, though it's a hit that can be easily blocked.]

[Lucy beams proudly at her (sort of) success; maybe she's starting to get the hang of it?]

[identity profile] hazelrink.livejournal.com 2011-04-01 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
[Intercept! Or well, more like she just brushes the paddle in the path, knocking it off a bit. Okay... so it's still in her area and- strong hit! Which will also not go in the goal, but no one ever said she was good at this]

[identity profile] queenly-valiant.livejournal.com 2011-04-02 05:40 pm (UTC)(link)
[Wild swipe and miss! And then swipe and miss again! And then swipe and--hit! Sort of. It's made it past the center, at least.]

1/2

[identity profile] hazelrink.livejournal.com 2011-04-03 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
[Bounce, hit. Okay trying to hit that and- miss. It ends up going towards her goal, but misses by a little. Sighing a sigh if relief she goes to hit it back to Lucy and-]

[identity profile] hazelrink.livejournal.com 2011-04-03 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
[...Hits it back into her own goal.]

...Aww!

[identity profile] queenly-valiant.livejournal.com 2011-04-03 08:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh dear. That is bad luck. Let's just not count that one?

[identity profile] hazelrink.livejournal.com 2011-04-04 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
No, that's fine. [Okay, taking out the puck again. And hitting back]
