Summary: Come one, come all! It's time for this cycle's New Feather Party!
Rating: PG -- to be changed in case of drunken shenanigans! Which are encouraged but it's a BYOB kinda deal. XD

[ooc: Alright everybody, here's how it works! Comment spam is the name of the game here and yes, my inbox can handle it! First comment is for anyone who's volunteered to help out and there's a lots of people so Selphie has already split everybody up into groups. aka: feel free to make your own groups. After that, there's just going to be general partyness going on! Threadjacking is more than encounraged (hell, it's expected and demanded) and there you have it! The grumps can come btw, they just can't grump at the party! xD]

The party was all set up and ready to go. The food had been delivered, the rec centre was thoroughly decorated and cheerful with its spring colours and Selphie was just hanging around waiting for the guests to arrive. Her small army of helpers had been hard at work since the day before and it hardened the perky brunette's resolve to make this one of the best parties she's ever thrown. A small part of her wished that her other friends from home and those who had left this place could be here to enjoy the party with everyone here. Even then, a larger part of her knows that it's better that they're not here.

Regardless, Selphie goes about getting this latest New Feather party arranged with every ounce of cheer and assuring those new people that not every people associated with Luceti is crazy. Giving them a welcoming environment to get to know some of their fellow residents is better than wondering what's going to happen next. Besides, it could help those shy people make some friends or get over their anxieties about social gatherings. Overall, Selphie felt that these parties were worth the hard work and would do them as many times as necessary.

[Well, to his credit Goku frowns in confusion. Yeah, that voice sounds familiar but...]

You sound familiar too but I'm sure I have never seen a hair as cool as yours. Green like a laaaarge country-field! if you decorate it with a flower it will be like a flower field!

[Soooo pretty. Anyway, the kid smiles brightly.]

My name's Goku! Son Goku! What's yours?

[Terra can't help but smile self-consciously at the raving about her hair. Now that she's been in Luceti a while, it's strange when someone does pay attention to it...but at least he's nice?]

Goku....

[She says the name as though testing it, then her eyes widen.]

You were that flying meatbun??

[Ping.]

Yes! I was a flying pork meatbun during one of the experiments!! It was in January, it was soooo cool!!

[Wait, does that mean he met you then? Give him a moment to think. Everyone looked different then so it's logical to not remember, though now that he thinks of it...]

Are you Terra?! That Moogle?!

[She nods, smiling wider.]

Yes! You saved me from that snow drift!

I remember you! I'm glad to meet you again, Terra!

[You're getting a hug, lady. Hope you don't mind it.]

You're okay now, right?

[Awww. She doesn't mind, even hugs back.]

I'm just fine. Thank you for helping me that day. It would have been much harder without your help.

It's okay! I'm glad I could help you! It felt good and it was tons of fun too!

[She chuckles softly.]

It was...and I'd like to return the favor, sometime. How have you been?

I have been great! It has been awesome, I played in the snow a lot before it went away, though I miss it a bit but flowers are coming now! I want to gather tons of them!

Ah! And a friend from where I was before came! This place is great! I had thought I would never see him again back there, but he's here now, he's fine and remembers me and there's no one scary to tell him to kill me!

[Can you tell just how excited and happy this kid is? Can you?]

[Oh, yes. Terra watches him fondly.]

I'm glad you two were able to reunite. It's always nice to see old friends--

[Then the rest sinks in and her eyes widen.]

Someone wanted him to kill you?? Why?!?

I suppose I did something bad?

[Honestly, no, he didn't know why. He didn't get to understand many of the things that happened there. He tries smiles anyway.]

But it's okay! The Heaven's army isn't here to chase me and that man isn't here to tell Nataku to hurt me. Besides Nataku would never do that! He... He hurt himself before that... I should apologize that I made him hurt.

[Terra still looks worried.]

It's good that he didn't, but...if that man or those other people appear, I want you to tell me. I can help protect you.

[Confused kid is confused.]

Can they come here too? I thought they couldn't reach us here...

I-I don't know. The Malnosso bring in a lot of different people, don't they? I hope they can't, but....

[Paranoid Terra is paranoid, especially after dealings with her own enemy in Luceti.]

[Well, now he's worried too. He nods, a pout on his mouth.]

I thought we were safe here. But here is no good either? That's not fair, I don't even get why they chase us. Hakkai said that I hadn't done anything wrong for it.

[Terra shakes her head, just as confused why they would want him.]

I'm sure you didn't. You're a sweet boy.

[Pause. She feels guilty for causing him to worry now, so something need to be done to make up for it.]

...I should introduce you to someone. I think you'll like her.

[Well, as far as he know they even talked about punishment when he was brought to the Heavens to begin with, something about his eyes... Goku perks up immediately upon hearing that though. Introduce him to someone?]

Ah! Yes, please! I like meeting people! Can I be her friend?

[Terra nods and smiles warmly.]

I think she'd like that. If you give me a minute, I can go get her.

[Nodding, so much nodding.]

I will wait right here, is that okay?

[He won't move even an inch! ... Okay, maybe an inch.]

That's fine!

[Terra heads outside...and returns a moment later with something in her arms. That something is a fat little chocobo chick (http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100531191344/finalfantasy/images/thumb/c/ca/Littlechocobo.jpg/220px-Littlechocobo.jpg) with bright yellow feathers. She perks up at her interesting new surroundings as Terra returns to him.]

Kweh!

This is Carbuncle. She's my pet.

[If Goku's eyes got any bigger they could explode. See him stare in infinite awe and pure delight at the little chocobo.]

Hi... Hi Carbuncle! My name's Goku! Waah, she's so tiny and cute! What is she? I have never seen a bird like this before!

[He makes a movement with his hands, as if wanting to pet the animal but thinks twice and quickly puts his hands away, holding them behind his back. He remains focused on Carbuncle, though, following all her moves with attention and smiling in, barely contained, excitement.]

[Terra beams.]

Carbuncle's a baby chocobo. They're birds that grow big enough to be used as mounts, in my world.

[She holds out her cheerful feathered friend.]

You can pet her. It's alright; in fact, she loves the attention.

So she will be that big one day? That's really cool! Ne, Carbuncle, do you want to be that big?

[Goku looks at Terra hesitantly at her next words though. The kid wriggles a bit but remains with his hands behind him while looking at Carbuncle with an expression that shows that he is dying from want of petting her.]

But she's so tiny... I don't want to hurt her...

[Carbuncle kwehs happily in response, and Terra nods encouragingly.]

You won't. Just be gentle, like this....

[She demonstrates, then moves her hand away.]
