Who: Everyone!
What: New Feather Party
When: Saturday Evening
Where: Rec Centre
Summary: Come one, come all! It's time for this cycle's New Feather Party!
Rating: PG -- to be changed in case of drunken shenanigans! Which are encouraged but it's a BYOB kinda deal. XD

[ooc: Alright everybody, here's how it works! Comment spam is the name of the game here and yes, my inbox can handle it! First comment is for anyone who's volunteered to help out and there's a lots of people so Selphie has already split everybody up into groups. aka: feel free to make your own groups. After that, there's just going to be general partyness going on! Threadjacking is more than encounraged (hell, it's expected and demanded) and there you have it! The grumps can come btw, they just can't grump at the party! xD]

The party was all set up and ready to go. The food had been delivered, the rec centre was thoroughly decorated and cheerful with its spring colours and Selphie was just hanging around waiting for the guests to arrive. Her small army of helpers had been hard at work since the day before and it hardened the perky brunette's resolve to make this one of the best parties she's ever thrown. A small part of her wished that her other friends from home and those who had left this place could be here to enjoy the party with everyone here. Even then, a larger part of her knows that it's better that they're not here.

Regardless, Selphie goes about getting this latest New Feather party arranged with every ounce of cheer and assuring those new people that not every people associated with Luceti is crazy. Giving them a welcoming environment to get to know some of their fellow residents is better than wondering what's going to happen next. Besides, it could help those shy people make some friends or get over their anxieties about social gatherings. Overall, Selphie felt that these parties were worth the hard work and would do them as many times as necessary.

[He laughs a little, then smiles.]

Well I do enjoying reading. Yet music sheets are how I read music and am able to play it.

[identity profile] justonename.livejournal.com 2011-03-20 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Eh? Music can be wrote down? But... It has no letters...

[identity profile] refinedmaestro.livejournal.com 2011-03-20 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[He opens the sheet music book and shows him one of the compositions.] Music is its own original language which speaks through other means.

[identity profile] justonename.livejournal.com 2011-03-20 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
[That sounds complicated... And all those drawings in the book aren't easy to understand either. But the kid is more marveled than confused.]

So all those drawings and dots are songs? Music? And you can read them? That's awesome!

[identity profile] refinedmaestro.livejournal.com 2011-03-21 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
[He nods and closes the book then stares down at the piano keys.] Well I am a composer on top of being a musician, so it's part of my position to read music.

[identity profile] justonename.livejournal.com 2011-03-21 07:40 pm (UTC)(link)
What's a composer? And why are them on top musicians? Musicians are cool, I like music.

[identity profile] refinedmaestro.livejournal.com 2011-03-22 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
A composer is someone who studies and writes music for various instruments of their specialty.

[Staaare.]

[identity profile] justonename.livejournal.com 2011-03-22 03:31 pm (UTC)(link)
[Give this monkey's brain a second to process that to something he understands well.]

So you make music?! Did you make that song you played before? How much music have you made?

[identity profile] refinedmaestro.livejournal.com 2011-03-24 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
[He answers him gracefully.]

Yes I have, no it was one I found in the library, and quite a number of pieces. My guess is over two hundred, maybe more.

[identity profile] justonename.livejournal.com 2011-03-24 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
That many? You must have been doing them ever since you were little!

[identity profile] justonename.livejournal.com 2011-03-24 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Then you're a genius!

[Pause and a light frown.]

What's your name? it can't be Brook, you don't look like a skeleton to me.

[identity profile] refinedmaestro.livejournal.com 2011-03-24 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[He laughs a little and bows his head.]

My name is Frederic Francois Chopin, a pleasure to meet you.

[identity profile] justonename.livejournal.com 2011-03-26 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
All that is your name? It's really long, it's like three names in one!

[He isn't sure if he should be amazed or scared.]

I don't know if I'll be able to remember it all. My name's Goku by the way.

[identity profile] refinedmaestro.livejournal.com 2011-03-27 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
You may call me Mister Chopin or Frederic if you'd like, Mister Goku. And it's a pleasure to meet you.

[identity profile] justonename.livejournal.com 2011-04-07 02:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Eh? No, no, It's Goku! Son Goku, I don't know any Mister Goku.

<[Did you misheard him?]

Then it's okay if I call you just Frederic? It's still a bit complicated but not that hard, I like it.

[identity profile] refinedmaestro.livejournal.com 2011-04-07 06:17 pm (UTC)(link)
[He nods a little, but sighs.]

Ah, I was only being polite. Excuse me, Goku. And yes, you may call me Frederic.

[identity profile] justonename.livejournal.com 2011-04-07 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Being polite? You mean Mister isn't a name?

[identity profile] refinedmaestro.livejournal.com 2011-04-07 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Mister is a title used in my world to address someone who is not on familiar terms with you yet, thus you call a man as mister and a woman as miss.

[identity profile] justonename.livejournal.com 2011-04-07 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I see... How is someone not on familiar terms?

[For Goku everyone automatically is on familiar terms with him.]

[identity profile] refinedmaestro.livejournal.com 2011-04-07 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Well when you meet someone for the first time, they are your acquaintance. If you wish to continue being close with them, you become friends and then good friends after spending quite a long time together.

[identity profile] justonename.livejournal.com 2011-04-09 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh... Is it bad to not follow that?

[Because now that he thinks of it he totally ignores those things.]

[identity profile] refinedmaestro.livejournal.com 2011-04-11 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
Well I do not know how things work in your world, but mine it is common manners to do so and its distasteful form to not show respect.

[identity profile] justonename.livejournal.com 2011-04-11 05:02 pm (UTC)(link)
[...]

So I should call you Mister Chopin then? I don't want to be distasteful.
