But even at a distance he might feel a little different, to nature-or-supernaturally-attuned individuals.
And close up, no one could help but notice the strangely iridescent, creeping moss and fern (http://pics.livejournal.com/one_green_eye/pic/0007p31f) that have wound their way through the fibers of his hat-- the edges of his box-- even the corners of his coat.
There is a race, a species-- in the same sense that you might call a jellyfish an "animal", despite being a network of individual living things-- from his world, with the same attributes he finds himself with now. In his world, they're known to some as "gods".
But he's somewhat distractedly wandering through the forest's outer edge (disoriented, he first ended up walking toward the town instead of away).... hoping that it will all just escape notice. Until his head is clearer... ]
