[Minato's not going to bother to reply to that entry. Instead, about an hour later he just appears in her house. No knocking, he has a key. He's carrying a few bags as well.]

[Haruhi would be protesting.

If she wasn't sleeping on the couch once more. Her breathing is a little ragged, but all in all she looks well - there's no apparent cuts or bruising. Or well, none visible on her arms and legs cuddled up in her long-sleeve pajamas as she is]

[...he pauses to look at her for a moment... but finally moves past her to place the bags in the kitchen.

A few minutes later, he emerges, only to disappear again into a closet. He then returns with a blanket and gently lays it over her.

...He might brush a few strands of hair away from her face, as well.]

[Be more smitten.

She doesn't really stir that much though, just a little mummer of not really coherent words. And her face being flushed]

[she's his ex-experiment hookup ex-sister rival bad friend, he's earned some affection. That doesn't look good though, so the hair ruffling changes into a check for a fever.]

[Oh yeah man, she has one. Quite a distinct one, actually.]

[yeah, not good. He's going to get some cool towels now and whatever useful medicines he can find from raiding the cabinets.]

[Yeah well you're going to be at it a while, Minato. Haruhi's going to sleep another hour or hour and a half or so, ultimately. But... well. If you're going to creep on her that long she'll be stirring back awake. Covered in sweat that is]

[He can't leave her when she's that sick, it wouldn't be conscionable. When she does wake up she can hear some noises in the kitchen.]

[And she sits up. She looks at her journal, and then feels the blankets, and then sits up to look at the kitchen-

What the hell is going on?]

[there's a strange man in your kitchen

except it's just Minato, who happens to take a peek out the door to check on her that minute]

What- what are you doing here?

[With a similarly ragged sort of voice]

Helping you.

[look, he's got a tray here. Orange juice and yogurt... she shouldn't eat anything heavy right now.]

Who cal- What the- weirdo.

[Dim and sick and tired as she is, the thought process that leads her to the fact that Minato go in with his key is a quick one]

[he ignores the jab and sets the tray down on the coffee table close to her. Then he moves back into the kitchen and picks up something else - a glass of water and some pills. He brings them to her.]

Take these if you haven't already. [These are actually from a clinic run, not her cabinet, but he's not sure if she's in a frame of mind to have taken other pills before.]

Who made you- [She says as she takes the pills and the water, downing them both deftly. Minato make be a jackass, but she does trust him] - my nurse?

I did. [if Shiki were around she would approve too. Maybe not Winry, though.]

Jerk.

[But that comes out with a sigh as she leans back into the couch]

Right.

[yep he's totally a jerk for helping you out, girl]

That's right, jerk!

[But her voice is horse there, and she leans back into the couch further this time, putting a hand on her forehead afterwords]

...Stupid.

Go back to sleep.

I've slept for hours and hours... and hours.

[...And she's already dozing off again. She exhales lightly, and then shifts to a position she suspects won't mess up her neck as much]

[he sees this. But he'll come and sit next to her anyway, to see if she demands some kind of entertainment from him instead of sleeping]

[She doesn't. Right now, she could fall asleep immediately and stay there for another good hour, at least. And in fact, when she closes her eyes, she does drift off very quickly, all things considered. While she is drifting off though, she goes out of he way to lean away from him. No way is she falling asleep into his shoulder or lap - her feet end up there on his lap]

[well, that's a good way to make sure he doesn't leave for a while.

Good thing napping is one of his favorite sports, too.]
