What:Fight Talk Therapy
When: June 30th, mid-morning (The day after this)
Where: The beach
Summary: After finding out Noel is back safe and sound, he thinks it's time to have a talk about herself and her relationship with Ragna [B(]
Rating: PG??
[He's sitting at his desk in his apartment, deciding if he wants to make this call or not.
No, he should, shouldn't he? Especially after what he witnessed yesterday. He knows he needs to control himself if he makes this call. He can't let it be known how bothered he was yesterday catching a glimpse of Ragna and Noel. Together. At first, it had been fine, Jin simply observed them. But with each passing minute, his casual indifference was starting to break and it let his irritation and anger start slipping.
Did Ragna think that would stop anything from happening, being glued to his Lieutenant's side? Did his brother even think: how easy of you, Ragna, to show just how much of a weakness that girl really is to you.
Jin sighs heavily; it's amazing he hasn't said a word to Ragna after seeing that when the last time he saw him was dropping him off at one of the clinics.
For once, and only once, Ragna is completely out of the picture in Jin's mind. This call will decide something that is completely his business and at the same time none of his business at all. Someone needs to do this and Jin has decided he was going to be the one to do it.
That's right. Jin's going to do something that he's already promised himself that he'll never do again.
Just. this. one. time.
Jin finally opens the journal, unamused and sending a private voice call to his secretary.]
[Voice; Private]
Lieutenant Noel Vermillion.
[/End]
[He'll wait before wasting more of his breath, seeing if she even answers.
She better answer, though.
She just better.]

[It's too bad. She doesn't really care anymore.]

[He closes the journal before she can reply, giving her no room other than to follow-up. She knows well enough how moody he gets when he's not listened to.
Not that he suspects, with that tone of voice she had, for her to do anything but follow his orders.
(it was defeated, lost, tired, and most of all a lack of self-respect. She really didn't care for her safety any longer, did she?)
What a mess he's about to try and clean up and it's not even partly his.
Jin stands up, grabs his overcoat to put on and then reaches for the closed journal to take it with him. He's out the door.]

So skipping all the fine details of how she changes, Noel quietly opens her door and heads down the stairs, passing Ragna's door...
...
And silently heading out. Not even a pat on the head for Sol, whom she knows was staring at her from the couch.
She's not being selfish, is she?]
no subject
...
Except he really doesn't give two shits about how the place looks, just that's he waiting for Vermillion to show up. And sometimes, sometimes that subject just rubs him the wrong way.
Hurry up, Noel! Don't make him have to harass you over the journals.]
no subject
Still, seeing Jin only a short distance away makes her stop, out of breath and clearly distressed by something, but like hell she's going to indulge Jin on what happened.
...unless he asked. Which she hopes he doesn't care to.]
M... Major Kisaragi...
no subject
You're actually alone? [Jin looks almost surprised. He was almost sure somehow his stupid brother would ruin everything by coming along, too... or something.]
no subject
[Because she's sure she's popular enough to take the whole village with her right now to the beach.]
no subject
You weren't alone last evening.
no subject
How.
Why.
The statement hits her like a brick wall, and she honestly looks shocked -- she never saw him.] H-How did you...?
[
oh, NOW you're fearing for your life :|]no subject
[Simple answer.]
If I remember correctly, Lieutenant, last I spoke of you and Ragna the Bloodedge, you said you split up shortly after meeting one another. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough. You were traveling with him, but now here in Luceti there's no place to travel to. But you still are together, correct?
[He closes his eyes, one hand on his hip
like he always does that only women should do, god jinand sighs carefully.]You've made friends with him, then? Or is it something else? Something... more. [He knew Ragna was a soft little bitch for Saya, he just never thought he'd be having this conversation with a clone that looked exactly like their sister.]
no subject
His words hit more and more, but it isn't until he adds that last remark that it really hurts and she needs to step in. And why would should she be afraid of it, huh? It obviously isn't true.]
N-No! [...you can calm down, Noel.] Major, I... I became friends with Ragna in Luceti. That much is true, but... but besides that, that's all there is to it.
[Yeah, fine. She'll tell you their friends. She admits it.
...]

WHAT DOES SHE DO, WHAT DOES SHE DO!?!] No! M-Major Kisaragi, is this the reason you've brought me out here!?
no subject
And if I said I don't believe you?
no subject
Th-Then...
[...yeah, she's got nothing.]

[Don't flip out, don't flip out. Dontflipout. YOU PROMISED YOURSELF YOU WOULDN'T FLIP OUT.]
2/3
—HE HAS IT—]
no subject
...That'll be later.]
PATHETIC.
Have you lost yourself so completely that you would need to live with a wanted criminal in order to protect you? That's what was happening at the bar, correct? You needed protection from your own actions, Lieutenant.
[A pause.]
Or should I be calling you Kusanagi, instead?
no subject
burnHonestly, it hurts, even if she had expected worse (like a nox nyctores in her gut). Sticks and stones may break her bones, but the major's words will always hurt her.
Couldn't she at least have argued that previous bit? Noel didn't need his protection back then. They were... she was just...
Oh. No. Initially, he wanted to keep her away from Terumi, so that's true, too! He's always needed to protect her... even now, especially now. Realizing that, she can't really argue, huh? Maybe Jin is right. Maybe the entire basis of her relationship with Ragna is him protecting her and she constantly stressing him the fuck out because of it.
Haha, wow.
It's true. All of it.]
... [Her eyes trail down.
Not even an attempt to argue back.
Worthless.]
no subject
Answer me! Are you just a clone with memories that aren't yours? Or are you Lieutenant Noel Vermillion? Because I refuse to have you exist, especially as my secretary, if you're nothing more than a fake.
no subject
How she still needed Ragna to save her ass.
Maybe she's just a little glad they're out at the beach, despite the weather and time of year -- no one to interfere with them. It's just herself against Jin. She needs to deal with this herself. She brought this on herself, and yet she... can't. Do anything.
Could she even answer that question? Noel tries to reach through her memories, back to her conversation with Nami over this exact same thing... but she can't pick out the words to say. She doesn't know what to do. What is she, really, in the end? She is Noel Vermillion, but is that name only a fake, too?]
No... I-- I-I am... Noel Vermillion.
no subject
And what does that name mean to you? Is it an NOL officer, my secretary, the girl that was friends with Tsubaki and Makoto I went to school with?
Or is it just an alias for a Murakumo Unit that has nothing other than a will to destroy?
no subject
...]
I... I don't know, sir. Th-That name-- it's... mine, but...
[Words. Not coming out right anymore.]
no subject
[He sighs. Fine, let's try this again.]
What is Ragna the Bloodedge? Is he the person you know or is he the Black Beast?
