What:Fight Talk Therapy
When: June 30th, mid-morning (The day after this)
Where: The beach
Summary: After finding out Noel is back safe and sound, he thinks it's time to have a talk about herself and her relationship with Ragna [B(]
Rating: PG??
[He's sitting at his desk in his apartment, deciding if he wants to make this call or not.
No, he should, shouldn't he? Especially after what he witnessed yesterday. He knows he needs to control himself if he makes this call. He can't let it be known how bothered he was yesterday catching a glimpse of Ragna and Noel. Together. At first, it had been fine, Jin simply observed them. But with each passing minute, his casual indifference was starting to break and it let his irritation and anger start slipping.
Did Ragna think that would stop anything from happening, being glued to his Lieutenant's side? Did his brother even think: how easy of you, Ragna, to show just how much of a weakness that girl really is to you.
Jin sighs heavily; it's amazing he hasn't said a word to Ragna after seeing that when the last time he saw him was dropping him off at one of the clinics.
For once, and only once, Ragna is completely out of the picture in Jin's mind. This call will decide something that is completely his business and at the same time none of his business at all. Someone needs to do this and Jin has decided he was going to be the one to do it.
That's right. Jin's going to do something that he's already promised himself that he'll never do again.
Just. this. one. time.
Jin finally opens the journal, unamused and sending a private voice call to his secretary.]
[Voice; Private]
Lieutenant Noel Vermillion.
[/End]
[He'll wait before wasting more of his breath, seeing if she even answers.
She better answer, though.
She just better.]

It hits her defense hard and intentionally so; he's attempting to push her back with sheer strength in order to hopefully make her lose balance.]
Bolverk chose you to wield it for a reason. [and no, he doesn't mean what Hazama told you about it :|] Remember that!
no subject
But come on. Her theme song is Bullet Dance for a reason -- this girl knows how to move in a fight, and just as soon as she's thrown back she's able to save her footing, quickly extending her right arm forward and shooting an Armagus blast in Jin's direction.
She'll try to remember it.]
no subject
That's his counter attack. He won't take the offensive once again, instead waiting on her to make the next move this time.]

Jin again charges forward, not unsheathing Yukianesa this time. Instead he means to run past her since she's already moved and grab one her legs and yank her down from her spin and thrown her forward into the sand.]

no subject
Almost.
She's already pulling herself back up, preparing for what Jin has in store.]
no subject
You can do it, Noel!!]
no subject
She's by his side now (or close-by anyway...). Even if she hasn't managed to pull herself back up, she's going to shoot at him again anyway; one barrel at a time.]
no subject
He's coming right at you, again (even with such a short distance between them to begin with), and those shots he'll use Yukianesa to deflect them until he's right on top of her and if she's not up by the time he gets there, he's going to...
...kick her to get her the hell up off the ground.]
no subject
Regaining her footing, Noel activates Chain Revolver and flips forward, the Armagus blasts shooting multiple times or... however that stupid thing works.]
no subject
Well, shit. He was already preparing for a some sort of retaliation so it's really just luck that he throws himself out of the line of Bolverk and now is off to her side himself. He rolls back to his feet, wasting no time and it's hard to tell if Jin does this next action to scare the shit out of her or if he really had some intentions to go through with the motion.
Before she can turn he's coming forward, unsheathing Yukianesa and taking a very dangerous swing up past her shoulder towards the girl's neck for a fatal blow.
Yukianesa, however, stops suddenly, just inches from slicing her neck, close enough to feel the cold emanating off the weapon. Jin stays there a moment in position, holding Yukianesa where it is and if Noel is looking his way he'll just stare at her.
Maybe he's just trying to prove a point that he can still kill her more easily than Noel can kill him. Either way, without a word he finally pulls Yukianesa away from Noel, resheathing the Nox Nyctores and sending it away into thin air.
He doesn't say anything, he doesn't even flinch, just sighs lightly and turns his back to Noel. On closer look, it seems that he didn't completely manage to avoid Chain Revolver, it nicking his shoulder, penetrating through the clothing he wears and into flesh. It's hard to see how much he's bleeding, but it's apparent enough that he is. And he holds true to his words by ending the confrontation between the two.
Jin, however, gives no positive encouragement or reinforcement. At the same time, he's not yelling and not calling her worthless. She did, afterall, manage to draw his blood before he
killed herwas able to draw hers. She can take it as a compliment.
He considers threatening her concerning Ragna again (you know, the one he really really wanted to react with in the first place) now that she has at least shown she's alive enough to take it seriously (mine mine mine, you little bitch, how dare you not only take up Ragna's attention but have the audacity to live with him, too?), but decides he'll just do it later.
She still needs to come with him for something not involving Ragna at all.]
One more thing.
no subject
From the get-go, he could have seen the fear in her eyes when she felt the chill of the blade just inches from her neck. One wrong move and he could finish it there -- permanently (or for a week). She's not wrong in assuming that, is she? This wasn't the first time he had tried to kill her. Not even the second.
That could be why she doesn't visibly relax when Yukianesa dematerializes from the major's hands. The uncertainty of it all almost hurts, but she doesn't speak of it. If he's calm, then she should remain calm, too.
Seconds later, Bolverk is gone. Not a word pertaining to her victory, either.]
...yes?
no subject
[She's at least smart enough to be fearful of him and although he's not quite so clear what his other self (selves?) did to her while he was here, it's clear it wasn't a happy time for Noel.
Well, whatever. Jin doesn't care what his previous incarnations in Luceti did, it's a clean slate as far as he's concerned. Not that it means he won't end up being exactly like them, but hey! One can hope for the better!
...Right?
Other than his initial order, he says nothing, continuing to walk. He will slow if it takes Noel a moment to move, though, as he's fully expecting her to come with him.
It's time to visit the clinic and a good friend of Noel's—not that Noel needs to know that until they actually get there!]
no subject
But okay. She'll do as she's told anyway. It's stupid, Noel knows, the number of mistakes she's made in just the past hour... but in the end, could she have really avoided this? (yes)
The lieutenant may be a bit slow at first, but soon enough she'll quickly follow after Jin.]
Wh-Where are we going...?
1/2
Obviously he'll just have to move in and make you both stay in opposite corners of the room!!If he's perfectly honest with himself, it's the sole fact that she is taking his orders that he hasn't gutted her yet. He couldn't care less about the NOL—be it back home or her in Luceti where it didn't even exist; but even then, some things stayed the same in his head. Noel being in his secretary, of course (his whenever-he-feels-like-it punching bag), and that means he expects her to listen to him, still.
Answering her question, however...]
Just shut up and follow.
no subject
I brought you something.
[Jin looks to Noel and motions her forward past him to go see her friend. Actually, as Noel goes by him he sort of just literally pushes her forward from behind, maybe to help her approach the friend she injured as Kusanagi... or possibly just curious to see if she'll fall flat on her face.
Not only does he do it, he does it in a way that, to Tsubaki, she'll probably just end up thinking Noel is simply being her usual complete-clutz self.
HE ONLY DID ALL THE "NICE STUFF" BECAUSE TSUBAKI WAS SO WORRIED ABOUT YOU, NOEL. YOU DON'T DESERVE ANY OF THIS.]
no subject
She doesn't dare mention it out loud... not with Jin here, especially, but she had already done this before, hadn't she? Even if it was out of self-defense, she...
Wow.
What a bad a friend she is to Tsubaki.
Her fears are confirmed when she sees her on the bed in bandages, and she stays in place. Noting the motion her superior gives her, however, she decides not to disobey it, nervously moving forward and toward her Tsubaki.
What does she say? She...
And then the shove. Noel squeaks as she trips up, almost screaming as gravity decides to make her situation all the more difficult and causes her face to meet the ground.]
no subject
Seriously, she's been worried sick about Noel. She may be in the clinic due to all those grievous physical wounds, but still. Worried sick.
But hey, this really does seem familiar... Why is it that no matter who's in the wrong, Tsubaki's always the one who ends up in the clinic?]
Jin? You--
[Whoops. Looks like there isn't even time for a proper greeting before there's suddenly a very clumsy Noel body-slamming the poor defenseless ground. Critical hit!]
N-Noel!? [Tsubaki quickly shifts to a position where she can try to reach out and help her friend up, but it's actually a little too quick and ow it ain't easy on the ribs.] Augh...
no subject
hardor anything....Ahem.
Jin says nothing, eyes simply narrowing a bit at Tsubaki's movements and the resulting pain that she vocalizes. Why is it always Noel? With the two people he cares about most, it's always Noel. Noel Noel Noel Noel, Noel goddamn Vermillion. And to think of how much trouble she must cause the two of them is grating on his already fraying nerves the longer he thinks about it. (Seconds pass.)
What is it that Ragna and Tsubaki see in her to make her so important to them?
(All he can do is sigh quietly in frustration).]
no subject
Please... don't move. I'm sorry...
[Oh, christ, what is she doing? Why is she always causing her so much trouble? (nevermind it was jin that pushed her, no, she won't say anything about that 8|)]
no subject
He'd be pretty justified in thinking so.
But then she turns her attention back to Noel and regrets it even more. Her friend really didn't need anymore guilt on her shoulders.]
It's all right, Noel. I'm fine. [...] How are you, though...?
[It's hard to tell if she's even talking about what just happened or... you know, that.]
no subject
Hopeless doesn't even begin to describe it. He'll be silent, though, before he finally shifts back.]
I'll leave you two to talk. [And he'll turn to exit the area for now, but he's within earshot so, Noel, don't make Tsubaki do any unnecessary movements like that again or he'll come back and be super unhappy with you X(.]
no subject
Just... Just kidding. 8(
Noel says nothing in response, only turning to look at Jin as he leaves. He... probably doesn't want to hear anything from her, anyway. :|;;; What about you, Tsubaki?]
no subject
...Oh, okay fine. You probably deserve a break from these two.] Jin... thank you. [For bringing her a Noel so she can finally get all this worry off her chest.
Somehow.
Hopefully. Ahem.]
It's so good to see you, Noel. I didn't know [
if you'd be hunted down by an angry mob or something] what to expect...(no subject)
