A hundred dollar dine, a tasty swine, all you gotta do is get in line

Who: New Feathers! Actually, anyone's cool.
What: New Feather welcome party.
When: Saturday, 6pm and onto...some hour of the night.
Where: Welcome Centre
Summary: It's a luau! Come dressed in your Hawaiian best (or if you don't, you might get a leis and maybe a Hawaiian shirt...or a grass skirt shoved on you) and mingle!
Rating: G-PG? idk, man, what'll you start during a party?

[It's hard to imagine the Welcome Centre looking so...tropical. Or at least so fakely tropical— with plastic palms and bright-coloured decorations strung from the ceiling. The door leading to the backyard is open today, and if you step out into the cooling evening, you'll notice the tiki lamps and the bar tables under thatched umbrellas. There's a happy barbecue going on at one corner, and the food that's cooked gets moved to a larger buffet-style row of tables with the rest of the food and drinks. There's lots of pineapple, hope you aren't allergic!

Upon entering, you'll probably be given a leis (and maybe a shirt or a grass skirt). Stay long enough and there's a few games planned (like limbo, totally cool, totally awesome). Enjoy!

((Action tags? Prose? Up to you! Don't forget to add your characters' tags!))

Um...

[This is probably going to be a weird question. Actually, scrap that, this is probably a weird question because she's asking this to this...this...

Monkey?]

Do you need some help?

Ook. [Nope, I got it.

And in a jiffy he's done and climbing down. Thanks for the offer, though. You get a wink.]

A-ah, of course.

[It's pretty strange attempting to make conversation with something that just attempted to reply with an ook.]

Do you usually repair...? [and do side jobs like that?]

Ook. [Nope. Normally I work at the library. But I like to help out when help is needed.

The orangutan indicates the stepladder, and takes one side. Help him move it?]

[Is that a yes? A no? It's hard to tell. But at least that lifting of one side of the ladder has clear enough intentions so she'll hurry to pick up the other half of that ladder.

She has so many questions, but the question at the moment is-- will she get an answer that is not "Ook"?]
