The conversation was just past its peak, and there was more drinking than eating now. Archie cleared his throat to get attention.

"Gentlemen, if I may venture a suggestion...? With winter approaching, what would we think of hosting something of a Twelfth Night ball? Now, Twelfth Night falls during the next new feather season, so perhaps early December would be a better time for it, even if it is Advent and not Christmas. Either way, with a feast and cards and music and dancing. If it goes over well, it could well become a tradition, and expose the rest of Luceti to a bit of the 'old world.' What would you think?"

This was a rare instance of him proposing an idea on his own instead of allowing Horatio to do it for him. Mostly, it had to do with this being more his area of comfort than Horatio's.
