[As sad as it sounds, it had been some time since the girls have really gotten together and done something. Thankfully, today would change that. After contacting Tsubaki via the journal, Makoto and Noel met up with her and head to the direction of the bakery to enjoy one of their favorite past-times!

Eating. Eating delicious food.

So here they were, not really caring about their waistline for just today.]

Wow... this is all so delicious! Don't you guys think so?

[She's trying her hardest to contain how happy she feels right now, being able to do this with Tsubaki and Makoto... but she's kind of failing, as indicated by her giggling.]

Do you think they'd be mad if we brought more home? [They've already ate so much.]

I think they'd be suspicious if we didn't, considering that's what we always do. [It's nice seeing Noel so happy. They've gone through some pretty rough times here, but it's a new year now, and it's time to start over.]

Any objections, Makoto?

[If someone's the happiest here, it's Makoto. Arguably. Not only are they all back together again, but they're happy. And seeing them happy makes her world the brightest. With a smile, she shakes her head.]

I'm sure they'll appreciate our the patronage.

[Even though they're not paying. But you know.]

[Hooray!] Then it's settled! Let's try to finish what we have here and take the rest home!

[With a smile on her face, Noel will grab the nearest pastry... AND EAT IT.]

[cry_camellia]

[Tsubaki shoots a glance at all the mouth-watering pastries still laid out on the table and laughs.] As much as it pains me to say this, I think I'm done for today. I couldn't eat another bite.

[She wipes her face with a napkin AND WILL DO THE SAME FOR YOU GUYS IF YOU MAKE A MESS OF YOURSELVES] But don't let me stop the two of you.

[Good for you, Tsubaki. Your stomach will like you tomorrow.

As for Makoto, not so much when she reaches for another pastry herself. BUT NO THANK YOU ON THE NAPKIN BIT.] You sure, Tsubaki? I feel like I could eat more no matter how full I am.

[She begins to reach for another pastry... but looks at Tsubaki.] Eh? You didn't eat that much, did you?

[AT LEAST SHE'S NOT TALKING WITH HER MOUTH FULL...]

I felt the same way two or three pastries ago, but I don't think either of you noticed how many I actually got through.

[She feels a little ashamed of herself, but is comforted by the realization that she's with the only two people that she knows who won't judge.]

[A slight shrug as she finishes the pastry in her hand.]

If you're sure.

[Though she usually is. Besides, Tsubaki can always eat the ones they bring home. Not all of it, heavens no (Makoto wants some), but the point of boxing and taking the pastries home is for exactly that.]

[Took the words right out of her mouth, Makoto. Admittedly, Noel doesn't think Tsubaki ate that much, but... well. That probably means she's just able to control her appetite better than Makoto and her.

It makes sense in Noel's mind.

She smiles a little.]

You know, I... being together with you guys like this... it makes me feel happy.

[cry_camellia]

[Now that she's done gorging herself on delicious pastries, Tsubaki leans back in her seat and looks up at the ceiling, thinking.]

...I feel the same way. The three of us all together again... it's like being back at the Academy. [When things were so much simpler.]

[Makoto stops chewing for a moment before quickly finishing the rest. No one dare talk about choking hazards. But the mention of the Academy gives her another pause. She nods, also thinking.]

Now seeing each other more often would be the icing on the cake.

[Having been roommates had given them that advantage. Now? Not so much.

Ugh, she shouldn't have mentioned cake. Delicious cake . . . ]

Yeah... [Well, she and Makoto are already living together, so them seeing each other more often isn't really much of a problem.] It'd be so nice if we could see you more like this, Tsubaki.

[Eating pastries... having fun... doing girly things together!]

[ikr. when was the last time they all went mud wrestling?]

Well all you have to do is ask -- you know I'd never turn down a pastry run. Especially now that House 48 is...

[Oops, she trailed off. Gawd, Tsubaki. How annoying.]

[never. because Tsubaki was too lady-like. cry more.

Anyway. Makoto's ears twitch as she catches the last of Tsubaki's words and pauses just as she's about to reach for another pastry.]

Is what?

[... Oh...

Makoto may not know, but Noel does. Mr. Dave and Miss Litchi...]

...emptier? [Hell yeah she'll finish that sentence.]

[cry_camellia]

[She nods. That's not all there is to it, though.]

Tao and Kazuma are still there, but... [She hesitates and starts fidgeting with the napkin.] Litchi's the one who let me stay in that house, and it still feels like it belongs to her. Now that she and David are gone... well, it just doesn't feel right to be there without them, somehow.

[She shifts slightly at the mention of Kazuma. Giving it a short moment's thought, Makoto waves a hand, resting an elbow on the table.]

Wouldn't the solution be to move out, then?

[Noel chooses to wait and see what Tsubaki has to say-- After all, it's easy to tell that a situation like this might be a little difficult. Miss Litchi and Mr. Dave may be gone, but... what about Kazuma and Tao? Is she friends with them, too?]
