Said barriers could have different effects attached to them so that when people walked through them and the like it would give a different tone or alarm. So. Barrier A in the forest might set off an alarm like a bell whereas barrier B in the mountains would sound like a drum.

I-I made something similar for a house where if the barrier was breached by a certain someone whatever the object may be, say a bracelet or ring, it would glow, heat up, even vibrate and produce the sounds of the alarm when said barrier was crossed over or broken.
