If it's causing water to evaporate before it even gets near him then eff he doesn't want to be anywhere near that, fur isn't a good defense against fire anyway.
He sort of wants to approach this guy despite the fire and crazy appearance because he would be pretty handy for clearing ice, but how do you go about getting the attention of a flaming demon...]
