So I was ninja-like before?

[He sounds faintly pleased about that. Maybe he and Trafalgar aren't two totally different people. That when this experiment ends, he doesn't completely die.

But he still dies. A switch is flicked and he ceases to exist. He never really existed to begin with. He is a fabrication. Without matter. Without purpose.

He thought he was prepared to die. A death, no matter how it occurs, as long as it is in service to the village, isn't pointless. He took solace in that. But this...

It is difficult.]


I imagine you'll want to talk to me or rather... him later. If this is anything like Luceti Valley, the memories of this lifetime will remain reasonably sharp for a while.

I don't really forget. I have a feeling Trafalgar won't either.
