SHELL meeting. Noon. Pack a picnic lunch and follow the river south until you see the blankets.

Action

[About fifteen minutes’ walk beyond the last houses of Luceti, Don has laid out a sprawling patchwork of picnic blankets. He’s also brought enough drinks for everyone, and some outdoor toys, like a frisbee and a soccer ball. Science is fun by itself, but there’s no reason to talk about it in a stuffy room when they could be out enjoying the mild weather at the same time.]

[The main agenda for today is the recent experiment, but other topics are welcome as well.]

((Feel free to start subthreads for your character’s world-visit/AU, so we can discuss them all. Threads for general picnic fun are fine too!))

[Edward tilts one of the books up, revealing the title.]

It's a form of alchemy called alkahestry. It's supposed to be good for healing.

Dunno if I'd say that. I'm a pro at alchemy and it's been tough to wrap my head around even the most basic techniques.

[He flips shut the notebook, setting his text back down in the pile. He's not getting anywhere fast with that one.]

Nah, it's alright. It's almost time for it to start, right?

[He snags another bite of his sandwich and sits up, nudging the books aside with his foot.]

...Hadn't really thought about it. [Enough eating for now, he does have occasional manners. The reminder of his trip home makes a pensive look cross his expression.] It's hard to explain without letting a pretty long story, and most of it's private. Anyway, it's not like anything changed- it was my world, I just wound up with an extra passenger.

Actually, I wasn't expecting anything. I never signed up to go back.

Yeah, that's right. I think the randomness of it was pretty much village-wide.

Looks that way. [Bastards.] I seriously doubt that anyone's surprised by that, though.

Right, right. [Edward leans back, getting his notebook back out, and digs around for a pen.] Lead on, I guess.
