Luna casts a glance in the Beast's direction, as if to gauge his reaction to the news, before turning her attention back towards Golbez.

"If this man refuses to cooperate with us, either willingly or by force, are you truly prepared to go so far as to destroy the very last of your kind?"

She gestures with a hoof to indicate the pendant. "We are not doubting your dedication to this mission, Golbez, but it is not a matter which we would dismiss lightly. The time of the ceremony draws ever closer. At this stage not one of us can be allowed to hesitate for even a moment."

Beast's face definitely raises a deal more when he sees Cecil's face in the image, smiling slyly in the anticipation of finally getting what they've been looking for for so long. But Luna's glance and statement to Golbez reminds him of the risk they're taking, and he also shoots a gaze at their friend.

"She is right - if your brother resists, he will have to be destroyed. If you choose not to fight, we will run out of time and lose all chance to perform the ceremony."

He bristles a bit at the suggestion that he'd abandon the plan for Cecil, but doesn't answer immediately. Instead he raises his eyes to the moon, watching it intently.

Finally he speaks up.

"My objective has not changed in all the time I've known you, friends. I will see the moon shine down on this realm eternally, no matter what it takes. If the one holding the last piece of the puzzle that we need refuses to hand it over, I will take it by force. If that means he must be destroyed... so be it."

He lowers his head back down. "I will not, however, deny that I will be attempting diplomacy first. He has a right to know who he is and why I am approaching him. He has a rightful place at our side... should he choose to take it."

Luna lifts her neck a bit, eyes trailing towards a moon that is so close, yet so far away. "And a wonderful realm it shall be. One where our dreams and hard work will be realized and respected, where we cannot be shunned simply for being different or frightening."

She folds her wings in tightly, and gives an approving nod to both of them.

"Very well then. It is our hope that this man will accept his place freely, but if he does not, perhaps it would be best for us to negotiate a series of backup tactics. A creature is only as strong as his weaknesses, after all."

The idea of living in darkness, in a world where no one will ever have to see his monstrous face and flee in fright, or hate him for how he looks... he likes this very much and looks up to the sky himself, giving a firm nod. He wraps his cloak tighter around him, as his fur still growing back from his mallynap makes him feel the cold considerably more than usual.

Suddenly he gives a deep growl at Luna's suggestion. "If he doesn't, I will tear his face apart."
