Summary: Everyone wakes up to discover Luceti has turned into an RPG land! And they... are its characters!
Rating: G, PG, PG-13, I don't give a damn.

It's the same deal as always. Post! Tag around! React! Thread! ...Other stuff! Keep it clean. Take your naughty stuff elsewhere. But this is an RPG so things like that don't exist here anyway.

[Kain shakes his head- he doesn't plan to answer that. He needs it though, needs to ensure that his side will have its power.]

[Seeing Saleh's stance, Kain takes to the air into a jump, soaring down with his spear jabbing toward him.]

Kain!

[But it's already futile to try to reason with the dragoon as he makes his jump. Saleh quickly begins to flee, dodging the attack. He begins to scramble down the mountain quickly but carefully.]

[Kain comes soaring down and jabs his spear forth toward Saleh. Then he adds in another attempted thrust, and another, trying to keep after him...]

[Saleh barely manages to stay out of attacking range, until the one thing he feared the most happens...]

[He slips on some rocks and goes tumbling quite a ways down the mountainside. When he finally stops, his ankle is caught in a crevice, and his body is very sore.]

[The sage looks up for Kain, but he's nothing but a sitting duck in this position...]

[Kain comes soaring down to land beside Saleh, then points the spear to his throat.]

Give me the Fire Emblem.

I...I cannot! Kain...stop this!

[Though his leg is now stuck, Saleh still can't give up the emblem. He's also in disbelief that Kain would betray him like this. Saleh reaches up, attempting to grab Kain's spear, if only to prevent him from attacking.]

[Kain fights to keep his grip firm, to keep the spear in place.]

Hand it over.

No!

[Well, that's good enough, that Kain wasn't actually stabbing him yet.]

Kain...why do you do this? Why do you turn your spear against me?

[Kain points to where "Fire Emblem" is written and then presses the spear down just slightly, just enough to where it could draw some blood. He won't kill him even now, but he's not above threats... or his backup plan if this threat fails.]

N...No...

[Saleh's voice is strained, still fighting to push the spear away from him. As he fails in that endeavor, he moves his head to the side to avoid it, but still suffers a light cut on the side of his neck.]

[These hero types are so annoyingly determined all the time, aren't they? Kain glares, and pulls the spear away... now aiming a punch at him to try and knock him out.]

[Saleh is a determined one, indeed. He feels the sense of relief as the spear is pulled away, but he doesn't even see the punch coming until it's too late. The punch connects squarely in the face, effectively knocking him out as his body falls limp. Squishy mage is squishy.]

[Kain watches, smug with satisfaction once he sees Saleh pass out. Now it's just a matter of searching him for the Emblem... which Kain does efficiently, pulling it out and looking at it curiously. Here, now, is a source of power for his new allies... exactly what he's wanted. Who cares if it meant betraying someone who was once a friend?]

[The Emblem in hand, Kain stands and turns away. He'd better get back... Golbez will be expecting him.]
