[Wake up in the morning feeling like. A. Hero. Go out on the town, don't be a zero.

That's the way Gold tends to live every day of his life. Still, when he woke up this morning he found things were not quite what they seemed. First of all, of course, Gold found himself already dressed instead of in his pajamas, decked out in this gear. No way he could've sleep-dressed himself in clothes he's never owned, right?

Things only got stranger, of course, once he stepped outside and saw the world before him. It was... Luceti, but it wasn't. It looked like someone took the place and gave it some crazy medieval-fantasy makeover overnight! Everything looked the same and yet totally different. Gold would like to think that everyone would notice the village changing under their feet and around them, but... Well, the Malnosso were pretty crafty when it came to these things.

This, of course, meant it was time to see what everyone else thinks of the matter! Journal time!]

Hey... Tell me I'm not crazy here. There's somethin' funky goin' on in the village. Just check it out! [He made sure to have the video function on, panning it out to give a view of the village's new design, and, of course, his new getup.]

[His is pretty nifty too! He adjusts the bag on his shoulder, before starting to look through it. Oh hey, look at that! He pulls out a whip.]

Wow, look at this, Gold!

[... is what he would say, if he could actually talk. Instead you just get him waving around the whip, Gold. Pretty weird, huh?]

[Lym woke up, she got dressed in her usual robes and picked up her training knife. Nothing too out of the ordinary given how things had been, but she felt the weight of coins on her belt.]

Brother? Uh.. Someone? Are they using potch here now?

[Thinking little of this she walked out, subconsciously smashing the three clay pots on the porch before blinking]

We... Have pots? Why did I break them? Huh....

[Starting for the river like normal a slime oozed out at her, letting out a scream and pointing her finger, lightning arced from it and incinerated the little thing, which vanished in a puff of maybe 2 gold coins.]

I... I used magic! I USED MAGIC! Wait. That was thunder.

[Lym looks frantically on the edge of panic]

I used thunder magic!?!

[Well see, it was kind of a weird day. He got up, saw all this stuff, and, well... he's waving the journal around for people to check out the new sights, and his new outfit. The funniest part about it? He's just kind of acting everything out. The normally talkative boy isn't speaking a single word, and is, instead, just checking everything out silently.

Like, look at this thing!

This random ass giant sword! That he's... trying to pick up, and mostly failing. Damn you low strength stat. You can probably hear him straining, but not more than that. Instead he pauses to reach into his bag... and pull a whip out, crack.

What even funnier is that it looks like he's trying to talk, and thinks he is actually talking, but instead, nothing is coming out. Maybe you should tell him that?]

[Gold will find Frey sitting in the foyer, following the messages on the journal curiously to try and figure out what is going on.

He's dressed in that black and gold outfit he first arrived in, the leather and cloth it's own form of armor and, while decently comfortable, still very stand out in Luceti normally.

At least he wasn't alone in the sudden outfit change, and he nods in greeting when he enters the room.]

Good morning, Gold. Were you affected by whatever is going on, too?

[You may or may not notice one Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi Master, standing near the Battledome. He seems to be surveying his fellow Luceti denizens with a neutrally observant yet peaceful expression.

But if you're having difficulty mastering the abilities inherent to your class? Go ahead and come on up. Master Kenobi's tutorial dojo is now in session!

Better hurry up and catch him. Leave him for too long and he's liable to get hold of his senses.

PS: Fellow NPCs are more than welcome to say hello as well. Just be warned; the conversation might leave a little something to be desired.]

[Gold stuffs his hands into his pockets as he comes back into the house. Oh, thank god this outfit has pockets still.]

What was your first clue?

....Potch? [When she walks towards him with such an odd question, his lips thin thoughtfully. Luceti never had a currency system, as far as he was aware, aside from that one time in which they had thought they had always lived here.

He himself is dressed in his uniform from home, having woken in it and not really felt like trying to remove it. The few times this had happened the outfits simply reappeared on their bodies, and he wasn't keen on trying today.]

What do you mean?

[yeah, thanks! He thinks it's pretty sweet too. He's actually gonna try to use that whip! It's kind of a quick thing to pick up, just because of the stats factor, but... his face lights up! It looks like he's talking, but nothing's coming out, still.]

[Sabriel is just passing by really...although she's had to side step a couple of odd creatures on her way to through the village. She's on her way to the Battledome for some sword practice when she comes across the Jedi. Wasn't that Adele's friend? Upon passing him she lifts a hand in greeting.]

[The village seemed. Odd. Which of course has Adele carrying her camera around, recording whatever seems the most strange to her in bits and pieces. At the moment there doesn't seem much for her to worry about. She does stop often enough on the way to the Battledome that she's late for her meeting with Ben. Who is...waiting. Quite patiently.]

I'm sorry I'm late Ben. Strange events around the village made the walk here a little longer than usual.

[Prince wakes up to a... vaguely familiar feeling. He's wearing armor again. It's not his normal armor, but still. Familiar. In truth, he probably would not have chosen black. Or spikes. But the plate mail gives him a flashback to his life as a warlord.

In fact, it's putting him in a sadistic fighty mood. So he'll just be wandering around, looking for people with a terrifying smile on his face.]

Of course. [His own weapon was in it's normal holster sitting on the couch. He hadn't bothered to put on the holster yet, but he grabs it nontheless. It felt... odd.]

I returned here with it in november... I choose not to wear it often because I only have the one.

But I did not expect to wake wearing it. [he's carrying his weapon and it's holster in hand, feeling decidedly odd about it for some reason.

It felt... foreign.]

[ April 28 - May 1 ]

[ In the far corner of Seventh Heaven, tucked away in a booth that's always a bit dark even in the day and never lit by candles even at night, sits an odd woman wearing a robe, with her hood pulled up and further obscuring her already hard-to-see face. There's something not quite right about her, even exempting the fact that she never seems to sleep, leave, or even have something to eat (what, you think NPCs need to take care of bodily functions?). Something about her is simply... a bit unsettling.

Should a non-NPC approach, she'll try to beckon them over. Her dialogue box name says "Mysterious Woman" until conversation refers to her as something else. ]

Excuse me. Could I have a moment? I seem to have misplaced a few of my things. You look like you might be able to help.

[ But beware, these quests are not for the low of level. And you'll get weapons, even if you don't follow the side quest through to completion. ]


[ May 2 ]

[ Starting on the last day, she won't be in her booth, which will be just as bright as the rest of the restaurant. If your party has successfully returned the three Dark Shards she's asked for (entirely handwavable!), she'll have told them there's one last shard to find, but the mountain passage won't be open until the 2nd.

Sure enough, on the 2nd, there's a relatively easy-to-locate road up the mountains which was previously blocked off. Following this road (and fighting off the hoards of high-level monsters along the way) leads to a cave which is suspiciously devoid of any enemies... or anything at all, really, except for the last Dark Shard sitting on a glowing white pedestal (as the others had been) at the back of a large cavern which couldn't scream "boss encounter" any louder if it tried. Hope you've saved. ]


[ Of course, nothing is stopping her from popping up for plot relevance from time to time in places that aren't Seventh Heaven or the cave, but that's an NPC convenience and she's also always findable back where she should be. ]
