talontrot: PM me if you want this to come down! (just try to mess with me)

[If that's how she's gonna play, then Kazooie will do the same - there's no time for words or messing around. There's only fighting - anger, boiling hot, as red as the blood that stains the dirt around the two slumped at Pao-Lin's feet.

Kazooie swerves hard, both getting away from those bodies - she doesn't want them to get hurt any more than they already have been - before turning to face her opponent. The sharp edge of her beak looks much less comedic when she turns it forward, but what might be especially strange is the fact she stops and spews one of her trademark Eggs.

Right now she's feeling Pao-Lin out - putting off the actual painful strikes in favour of distracting her and getting an idea of what those Hero powers of hers actually do. It's just a plain Blue Egg right now, intended more to distract and confound - this Pao-Lin doesn't remember Kazooie, so she won't expect it, and if Kazooie sets a precedent now that her attacks are all like this weak pittance of a blow, so much the better.

She'll take Pao-Lin by surprise.

... Why is this like a Snarebear's jaws twisting in her gut? Why does this hurt so much to do?

She once fought someone who masqueraded using her friend's face. Isn't this the same? Isn't this like a dumb robot version of Pao-Lin, somebody who walks and talks like her but isn't real?

... Except Kazooie knows she is real, on some level, and that it's not Pao-Lin's fault, it's the Malnosso's - but it doesn't stop her from being angry that she won't listen. Angry that she won't understand, that she won't stop hurting people when she's better than that...!

... And, the most infuriating of all - Pao-Lin forgot her. Pao-Lin, her friend, forgot who Kazooie even was. Forgot how important Kazooie was to her.

...

Forgot how important she was to Kazooie.

It's not something she can ever forgive the Malnosso for taking away from her, even for a brief moment. And right now, she uses this rage to forget how much it hurts to decide to attack her friend.]
