Pokémon battle! And we'll see who is the better trainer! And we'll see who has the bigger Pokéballs!
Who: Gold (
mischiefbreeder) and Silver (
tsuntrader), plus any spectators!
What: Silver issued a battle challenge to Gold, who accepted.
When: Saturday afternoon
Where: The Battle Dome
Summary: Gold and Silver have been in Luceti together for a year and yet have never had a single Pokémon battle. Deciding it's time to rectify, they head off to the Battle Dome to throw down!
Rating: PG? I mean, it's Pokémon...
[Gold had been anxiously waiting for this day. Sure, the standard format for Pokémon battles involved just battling whenever your eyes meet, but if they did that, there'd be constant battles all day, every day. Therefore, these things had to be planned.
...Besides that, Silver was his rival. Always has been, always will be. That makes this battle special. A battle to settle old scores... No, a battle to determine who's the best trainer out of the two of them, and furthermore... To show everyone just how it's done.
It was time. Their battle lies ahead.]

A... chakra tree? That sounds amazing! Now I really want to try one! [He makes a slight whistling sound as he envisions a paper cutting in half]

And with chakra as close to chi as it seems to be...
That's just creepy.]
Can you feed any tree chakra?

...You know he didn't think of that]

I dunno. I've never tried. [But it's clear the idea doesn't bother him. It doesn't eat it eat it, Katara, gosh. He cups his chin.] I could test it here, but it'd take too long to get anything out of it. I'd be better off trading in points for the paper.

There are some pretty weird trees out there. But I think I can understand how they can connect to the energy inside us. I hope it's not too much of a trouble to get some of that paper.

[Something of a joke, at least to him.] It's okay, I'll just blame you guys.

Thanks, Shikamaru.

[Element training takes longer even after that, but he doesn't need to mention that here.]
And your training with Linda. [He starts counting things off his fingers, omitting certain details] And your other training on top of that training on top of that training.
You're busier than I am. I'm surprised you even have the time to be here.

[Fortunately or unfortunately they didn't last though and Sokka's adapted to a much more reasonable schedule. If it continues which I think it might based on an ongoing thread]

[/SIGH shrug] Ironically, that's contrary to one of my other mentor's principles.

Oh, that one? He looks like he could be nice. And he does have that cool water alligator. He must be teaching you some neat Pokemon tricks. [Like... how to withstand huge amounts of electricity?]
